@timpi21 I have a feeling that means that the ED decisions are finished 100%, now they’re just picking the scholars out of the ED applicants. So if that’s the case, probably some time tomorrow.
@horchataman I highly doubt that the scholars will all come from the ED pool. Its probably easier to pick out all the scholars from the ED/EA pool than it will be to make those final/tough defer/reject decisions in the ED/EA pile.
I’m so nervous…I applied ED & NEU is my dream school. Will be so upset if I don’t get in
Is there anyway we would know tomorrow morning if the decisions will be coming out that day? For example, will the website be down or give any indication whatsoever?
@suzyQ7 I feel like they would finalize the ED pool and then pick the ED scholars from that and then do the same with EA and RD when the time comes. I’m feelin’ tomorrow for decisions.
so if ed comes out tmrw ea would by next tuesday?
Nothing is certain, but I believe that was the pattern last year.
^Next Thursday is also a possibility

@Je1027 I know that on last year’s thread, EA applicants said that the site was down early in the morning on the day they got their decision. I feel like the same was true for ED, but they just didn’t notice. I really hope that is true so I’m not constantly checking my e-mail throughout the day tomorrow.
.
@timpi21 I’m going to check first thing in the morning and hope its down! I saw on last year’s thread that a lot of people got their decision on the site before they got an email from Northeastern. This is so scary
When are EA decisions to Northeastern expected? I also posted this question here http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/northeastern-university/1838769-applied-to-northeastern-early-action-a-few-questions.html#latest
Last year EA decisions were released on 12/16 (ED on 12/9).
Were the projected release dates the same last year?
It’s also likely that there’s more applicants this year doing ED so it could take slightly longer.
Do you guys think they could pick the scholars all in a day? I have a feeling ED will be released Thursday and EA next Tuesday. But just a guess haha I have no idea.
How early in the morning was the website down last year?
**DISCLAIMER: The below is based on last year’s decision days. Northeastern could follow a different pattern this year. **
Based on last year, ED decisions may come out today. Last year ED decisions came out around 7 PM EST. There are relatively few ED applicants and all decisions were received within the hour.
Based on last year, EA decisions may come out next Tuesday December 15th.
You will get an email saying directing you to the portal. The email itself does not contain the decision.
If you call admissions and ask when decisions come out they will only tell you “by December 15th” for ED and “by December 31st” for EA. Admissions staff are a bit frazzled this time of year so give them a break!
Since there are relatively few ED applicants the system down time in the morning may be unnoticeable.
Financial Aid! In past years if you are checking your decision on your smartphone you will need to scroll to see the link to your award.
** Again, this is all subject to change.**

@kvpm0822 Only admissions has any say on whether or not you will get in. Asking other highschool kids on college confidential won’t bring you closer to a real answer.
@kvpm0822 If my son was interested in a school, we checked their admitted students profile for the last few years to see where he fell statistically. There is also something called a Common Data Set that you can google. That will help you get a feel for things. For my son, NU is a reach and he is preparing for deferral or outright denial. No one knows for sure, but after being on this forum for a few months, I’ve realized the stats are usually a good reality check. Good luck!!
