@Je1027 as people before you comment that they actually got rejected…
@Je1027 I got rejected and I’ve been crying for over an hour. I would have done anything in the world to at least be admitted into NU in so I’m just saying at least you technically got in. I’m sitting here just wondering why I didn’t get in and it hurts so yeah.

First congrats to all accepted!
If you were deferred, it is not a polite denial. Due to the high number of early applicants, it is common to get deferred and then accepted: they only select the top range for EA/ED for the most part.
Also, I am a Husky Ambassador, and those numbers given are correct for the number of applicants.
As far as NU.in, there is a great thread on it I will try to find and bump up.
Best of luck to everyone in EA!
Been lurking for a while just got into NU.in so figured I’d contribute, anyone else who got into it have any thoughts? I have no idea what to think right now . . .
@Je1027 @16sadeghik It’s not the end of the world. Your lives will go just fine. Breathe, have some tea, finish your homework, and start looking at other options.
Did anyone in CA yet a decision yet?
Also, to those rejected: the big thing to remember about college in general is that the student makes the success the most, not the school. Even if you aren’t going to NEU, you can still carry with you the parts of the academic philosophy that you liked. There are plenty of amazing schools out there and just remember that college admissions have a bigger picture than “Do we want this student?”: there are so many other factors and every year all of the colleges in the US will reject hundreds of thousands of qualified student simply for lack of space. Best of luck to you guys with your other applications!
^what a resilient kid you are @absquedecorus ! Good luck with the rest of your apps!

@HRSMom Thanks and good luck to you and your kid!
Here’s an NU.in thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/northeastern-university/1755004-admitted-into-the-n-u-in-program-january-admission-p1.html
I’m considering compiling some information from there and other places and putting it together as a more condensed format, but the NU.in website is also great to explore. As a student, my friends who have done it said it was pretty accurate.
@lydiasomething can you elaborate on what an “intricate” portfolio would contain? I applied Music Industry, too!
