I visited last fall so I’ve shown interest

20k per year scholarship

I’m absolutely ecstatic that I got in, but a little disappointed at the financial aid, which pretty much puts attending out of reach :frowning: Oh well, I’ll make it happen somehow!

does anyone have any clue if all decisions will be released today?

@SoCcErTrAcK2016

Did you check the FA and merit links both?

@katecropp16 I think most if not all decisions were released by 8pm last year

@HRSMom Yes, but I only got merit aid. They expect my family to be able to contribute 50k+ each year but that’s not gonna happen. My dad runs his own business so his income appears a lot higher than it is. Plus my sister is a senior as well so my college expenses pretty much get doubled.

I know that they took that all into account when deciding on how much to award, but it just kinda sucks that money might be standing in the way of going to such a great school

Maybe you should appeal. Own business can distort!

I haven’t received my decision yet, but in the portal under the required documents section “Midyear Report/Grades” is now listed. Before it was just “all required documents have been received” pretty sure I got deferred

aughh my decision didn’t come yet!! is anyone else’s email late? my twin sis got got her email at 5:30 (deferred) so this time difference is wigging me out

Accepted from New York into the Honors College with the Dean’s Scholarship!!
35 act and 96 GPA (unweighted).
So happy!!! Good luck to everyone else!!!

I logged in and there is no decision, but a new box is there asking for mid-year grades. I guess that is a deferral?

deferred :frowning:
2260 SAT
they don’t calculate GPA at my school because it’s a competitive private, but I bet it was all those b’s i got freshman and sophomore year. oh well…

@dju3785 same here… is it safe to say we got deferred…?

@dju3785 I think colleges require the midyear report if you get accepted or deferred.

Was just about to say the same thing with the required documents… CA applicant

I don’t have a change on my application status page… Does that mean I didn’t get in?

At least it means we’re probably not rejected!

@suzyQ7 , no they aren’t. They are deferring many excellent candidates that undoubtedly will be accepted during the RD round. Don’t forget what EA is. It is a non-binding early application. It is only different than an RD application by virtue of the possibility for earlier notification of an admissions decision. Unlike ED, applying EA doesn’t necessarily signal anything to the school about an applicant’s interest nor enrollment intention. Nor does an EA deferral signal anything to the student about the school’s ultimate intention with respect to admittance. Somewhere in the middle of all of that are the students that they do accept in the EA round for whatever reason (and those reason vary and are not just about grades and scores) and those that they determine early on that they will deny early because they do not expect to admit them during the regular decision period.

The same thing happened to me!!! What does this mean ??? :((( @dju3785
