NJ daughter, accepted with 10K scholarship after being deferred EA…2230 SAT, 4.4 GPA
Homsar:
32 ACT
2090 SAT (610 CR, 800 M, 680 W)
SAT2: 790 M, 750 Chem
GPA: Weighted- 4.38, Unweighted- maybe 3.8?
EC’s- mostly biological science/healthcare based. Overall I was kind of surprised that I got in. I applied to the School for Computer and Informational Science for Computer Science and Applied Physics, which my profile doesn’t suit at all. Congrats to all those that got in, and if you didn’t, I’ll be pulling for all of you to prove Northeastern wrong about their decision.
Accepted- Journalism-NY- RD
3.67 uw 4.0 w
1930 SAT
31 ACT
with $38,000!
Deferred EA and ACCEPTED RD
BEYOND HAPPY!!! and Congrats to everyone!
35 ACT superscore 4.0 gpa
I’m from MA and still haven’t heard back yet??
@aurthur no, I didn’t realize I was supposed to until it was too late unfortunately
@gonewiththeair omg LOL… ucsd is a lost cause to me at this point
@PengsPhils- thank you for your suggestion. We will take a look at the info. I think my son even checked the box that he was not interested in the NUin program on the application. Seems like you need to be a pretty adventurous kid to sign up for this program .
@schroscat You really are in every thread! xD congrats btw!
@viola27 NUIn decisions are not random. Those receiving that decision generally have lower stats than those offered regular admission.
@ThatGirlCoder Hahah, yeah! Thank you! Definitely can’t afford it here, but, it’s all good!
i mean no disrespect but i did kinda consider northeastern as a sort of “safety” school. yet i got rejected and am devastated because i don’t think ill get into any of my other higher ranked schools
if i get rejected here, do i even have a chance to get accepted into ivy/ johns hopkins etc…???
@Chris817 Mind posting ur stats?
After seeing all the people who got denied, I was expecting one too, but I got in! Finance with a 26k Scholarship!
NY, Indian(Asian) American, 32 ACT, 2120 SAT Superscore, Top 5% of Class, Lots of Leadership Positions and Volunteer Hours, Awesome Recs and a Pretty Stellar Essay if I say so myself lol
To anyone who reads this later, remember this one thing: everything you do outside the classroom is so important. I have REALLY strong ECs, founded two clubs, hold major Leadership Positions, am an All-State Vocalist, and although people with higher scores either didn’t get in, or didn’t receive much money, I strongly believe it was due to my out of classroom activities that got me to this point.
Good luck to everyone who didn’t find out yet!
has anyone heard from maryland yet???
Anyone know when Utah decisions are being released? Not sure what geographic area they will lump us into this time.
Anyone in NY/NJ/PA still waiting? I’m getting incredibly nervous because I’m from NY and still haven’t gotten my decision…
