@mmstanfordbound Then I don’t think there’s a way to check.
@woohooig What does it say under your admissions documents sent?
@Faexpopuli If your goal is just to get into your reaches, I’d say it isn’t a great idea. I’m on a gap year and reapplied to my reaches - with a much better SAT score and internships etc, but got into none of the ivy league schools/Stanford/MIT. I just got into Johns Hopkins. So I suggest don’t hope too much
@theboiboi Dammit I couldn’t apply for Financial Aid since I’m international and now there’s no way to check…
@woohooig same man I took 6 L’s in a row and 1 WL and I’m really hoping CMU comes through.
Does the “Decision Notification Letter” make a difference? I had that in my checklist
I’m hoping that the admissions ID were not put live yet, but I highly doubt they aren’t up yet because people are already getting the FAT letters in the mail.
Theory at this point is that if it says “Decision Notification LETTER” then you probably did not get in.
@woohooig omg me too we’re in the same boat friend :’) rejected from almost all reaches, WL at one. State school for me too! hey, if we both get rejected, could you tell me your state? I have a feeling we might be in the same state?!
I think what you’re saying makes perfect sense. @theboiboi
Sigh, international student so I’ve to wait it out! Hoping for the best and I wish you all the best of luck!!
@mmstanfordbound I would say you succeeded if you got into Johns Hopkins
@Rue11111 mine says Decision Notification Letter rip
@davy901 I believe all of us have the “Decision Notification Letter” checked off. I highly doubt that is the FAT letter since all of us have it, but it did state in the email they sent a while back, “All admitted students will also receive important supporting documents and information regarding their admission decision by postal mail.” So unless they decided to send out rejection letters as well, I find that the “Decision Notification Letter” means nothing.
@theboiboi oh man those links really got my heart clenching with the huge “CONGRATS YOU’RE IN” banners…
@davy901 ayyy :’) its okay dude we’re gonna be fine tho. it hurts now but we’re all clearly v high achieving and qualified to even have to guts/qualifications to apply to places like cmu!
There’s really nothing much we can do, but to wait 8 hours. But it still shocks me that only 2 people were able to get on the deposit site. I was expecting a few others.
One user said their portal says “Decision Notification”, not “Decision Notification Letter”. The majority say letter. So probably if it says letter you did not get in. (Mine says letter and I can’t login to the deposit portal so i probably did not get in).
@Faexpopuli Thank you I’m just thinking about Baltimore as a place. Since I’m going abroad for the first time, I’m making sure that safety and environment is #1. Right now I’m choosing between Northeastern and JHU (for CS)
@anotherdooropens yes!
Yeah mine just says Decision Notification without the letter… Anyone else have that too?
@thwaway482957102 But what about internationals? None of us applied for FinAid. So there’s no real way for us to check our admissions ID. Btw I think you’re reading too much into the ‘Letter’ part - let’s just wait a few more hours
@Rue11111 Did you try the deposit portal with the admission id from the source of the status page?
