Official Class of 2022 Applicants Discussion Thread

@FutureCSstudent of course you can take more than 6, you just choose which ones you count towards your diploma and which one to be extra (while still having enough from each group)

I take
HL: Maths, Physics and Econs
SL: Spanish B, Lang Lit and CS which contribute to my diploma score out of 45

and then Further Math HL as my 7th subject. Its a lot of work, but I love the Further Math syllabus

Has anyone else’s tax forms been waived on the 30th of March?

wait my deposit page doesn’t lead to an error but it doesn’t lead to the accepted students page thing either

3 hours to go!

international student here, rejected/wl from all other reach schools, really upset. Also showed “decision notification letter”.

@Ohmygod723 I’m in the exact same situation :\

@Ohmygod723 What major did you apply for and what are your stats? I was also rejected from all of my reach schools. Applied for econ.

I think I am ok though. SAT 1510, TOEFL 111, SAT Math II/Physics/Chemistry all 800, bio m 760, self-study 6 APs. I applied biological science

@Euler6 Oh I didn’t know that. I guess it’s just my school. They are very strict when it comes to subject manipulation or scheduling. That’s pretty cool though and good luck!

@Ohmygod723 Where else have you gotten in? I am planning on attending BU.

Maybe my PS has problems. Besides I am in Chinese national curriculum so my GPA might not be so valuable:/ Really don’t know what’s going on. Considering UCSB/UW now if rejected.

Hey guys!
Can someone pls rank university choices for mech eng program amongst USC, GA TECH and CMU.
Do consider all factors including rank, location, infrastructure, faculty, lifestyle.
Thnx

I hope I can get off UCLA’s waitlist. Lots of talented students in my school are going there.

Can any of you guys tell me whether your tax forms have been waived on the 30th or at an earlier date?

wait are you serious about the “decision notification (letter)” thing???
does this mean i’ve been admitted to computer science at CMU as an international student???

@Waldo1234 student W2 waived feb 20

Let’s hope for the best! Though I was nearly out of control when rejected by Berkeley.

@“does it matter” I think CMU and Ga Tech are amazing for engineering. Usc is better known for its social sciences rather than its engineering program

But isn’t california a better place to be?
I am an international student so don’t know

According to rankings:
Gatech is 3rd in mech eng
Cmu is 7th
USC is 9th
