@cfdg0898 Bristol uni in the U.K.
Does anyone know how many have gotten in from the waitlist please? How many for Engineering?
I don’t think anybody knows
We’re all blind in this.
maybe today?
What other schools have you guys been wait listed at?
is the office open today? Did anyone call and ask if waitlist decisions have been released or when they will be released?
@crowningflowers I believe you’re an international student. It’s a federal holiday here in the U.S. Columbia is closed today.
I got off of the waitlist for Brown on Friday. They gave me till June 2nd to decide. Is this something worth letting the admissions office know?
Yeah I think you should settle with brown and worry less about Columbia since both are nice schs. What major at Brown tho??..you can get off Columbia’s wait list if you prefer brown to it or to avoid many deposits and also you never know the outcome of Columbia’s wait list…I think I will free myself from further stress if I were you
Congrats! @Y2JRedskins !!
@Y2JRedskins Would you take Brown over Cornell for CS?
We should call the office today and ask!
Please someone in US should do the calling
@Kmj21 Thank you!
@Rhay20 Computer Science, and thanks for the advice!
@Catalyst2021 Both programs are very strong (Cornell might be slightly stronger), but I’m thinking of taking up the Brown offer just because of the differences in curriculum and philosophy.
I just called. Round 2 was released on Friday the 26th. She said she wasn’t aware of any other release dates at this time.
Owk at this time…i think we should be getting ready for our rejections…aww God…so sad
My daughter has resigned herself to that fact. She’s headed to Duke.
So how many people on here haven’t heard anything at all? And how many people do we think they accepted from the waitlist?
@Y2JRedskins I would NOT tell them you’ve been accepted off the waitlist at Brown. Brown and Columbia are commonly known as exact opposites (I personally don’t know why anyone would apply to both… if you like one you probably won’t like the other) and admissions would probably take it as a sign you might not thrive in Columbia’s environment.
