Official Columbia Early Decision Class of 2015 Results

9s my lucky number get it

Question, do we have to submit the 1040 directly to the financial office in a menial envelope?

Yes…

um, Columbia09, even on columbia’s site it says that decisions will be in BY dec. 15th. at latest. so, them being in at the 18th at the latest, isn’t valid. and i’m sure you don’t have any insiders in the admissions office to say that it may be the 18th this year. or even the 13th at the earliest

i don’t think you know more or less than the rest of us ED applicants. i mean, there’s only so much you can know for someone who does not go there, if you are in fact an ED applicant. so just sit down, keep the stupidity to a minimum, and try not to throw up on this ride.

lol columbia09…you hired a private college counselor?

Question, do we have to submit the 1040 directly to the financial office in a menial envelope?

Hahaha super genius right here, manilla*, you send yours straight to the trashcan, sorry

On the ED response date mentioned earlier:
My nerves began a week early. Forget senioritis, I can’t focus because of THIS.
If (when?) nothing arrives on thursday I’m going to be even more distracted.
Though our lives go on whether or not we are accepted, I can’t help but feel as though
getting into Columbia, or any other top tier school for that matter, is validation for our four years of work and stress.

I laughed out loud! XD

I have very low scores(2040 on SAT) and am in the top 15% of my class, but I have started an academy and have been a professional ballerina for 4 years, do you think I stand any chance?

You are somewhat like me. I also started my own website and made school history in athletics. I think we still have a shot.

would you mind chancing me on my other thread? what do u think?

^^^^^^ I don’t like to do those type of things. Sorry :/

So when do we hear from Columbia? 5pm on the 9th eastern or pacific time?

Yeah, that sounds right.

haha that didn’t really answer her question, its eastern time, since you know, columbia is in new york :p

does anyone know where to check for the decisions?

wait is everyone fo sho its the 9th? i mean, even tho past years its 2nd thursday of dec, this is columbia’s first year using common app and i heard just this past week they were still calling counselors to ask about some students…and no emails yet…?

at this point i would highly doubt that decisions will be available on the 9th. i’m going to go ahead and make the largely baseless prediction that they will be released on the 13th. the past 2 years they’ve been released on the 10th and 11th, add 2 days or so for extra time figuring out the commonapp system and processing the increased volume of applications, and you get the 12th or 13th, and then i’ll go ahead and assume that they probably won’t release decisions on a sunday, and you get the 13th. of course, that’s all total guesswork.

@AxelNofz. I kinda agree with you. I think it’s going to come a little late this year…just a feeling though. I could be wrong.

65 collegeftw- your friendship is questionable with statements like this post,

“lol columbia09…you hired a private college counselor?”
Why is that shocking to you? Plenty of people do so as applying to get into such competitive schools leaves no room for mistakes. I am neither for or against using these counselors but I would warn people that most of them charge a lot of money and what I have heard back has not been stellar. But you never know…if he can afford it who is to say he should not use the advantage. They don’t do the application or get your GPA or SAT scores for you–unless you can afford Hernandez and that would be in the realm of a little more and you could put in a new wing to the college. But Columbia09-I wish you good luck.
