General Comments: I post this because these threads have been helpful for me in the past. It is disappointing, but I really am excited about the other schools I am applying to. It is not as bad as I expected, although I didn’t think I would be outright rejected.</p>

• Interview: Ehhh. He was a corporate lawyer, and I couldn’t really see emotion on his face, so it was rather intimidating. He verbally said he was impressed three times, though.

• Why you think you were deferred: My scores are alright, not amazing. Honestly, my short answers may have weakened me - they were just alright, not great.

General Comments: Honestly, this may have been for the best. Although my parents said ED was alright, I was somewhat worried about the whole financial situation, considering Columbia’s one of the most expensive schools out there. I was surprised at how upset I was, considering that I thought I would be rejected. Columbia’s a dream for me, and I’m still going to chase after it. This has really given me a lot of motivation to work hard.</p>
