<p>hey everyone! I was deferred ED, so I guess I’m a regular decision applicant now, lol. Columbia’s still my dream school though 
(also since people are talking abt majors and stuff, I really like biochemistry)</p>
<p>Took forever for me to pick between biochem and neurosci but I decided I needed some aspect of psychology after liking AP so much this year.</p>

<p>@artobsessed - no, somehow I just don’t see the appeal, lol. I’m thinking either aerospace or med school. But I’m a young, idealistic high school kid, so I might just end up in music or something… :rolleyes:</p>

<p>There’s the 3+2 and 4+1 program.
It’s a five-year program that you apply for in your junior/senior year at Columbia.
It’s 3 years of CC then 2 years of Engineering
or
4 years of Engineering then 1 year of CC.
You’ll be awarded both the BA. and the BS. if you successfully finish this course!</p>

<p>I got my Columbia ID, but the email states that you can check your applications status from January something to February, so I’m guessing we really can’t use them yet. :)</p>
<p>^ I think it said early february to early march!! The portal is not available now but yeah - the email confirming my application contained an ID!!</p>

If so, when did you receive it?</p>
<p>I haven’t been contacted yet. The huge number of applications (to all top schools, not just Columbia) is making it a very real possibility that some people won’t get interviewed…</p>
<p>edit: but of course we should give it a few weeks. Popular consensus seems to be that if you haven’t been contacted by the beginning of Feb, that’s when you should ask your local alumni committee or whatever.</p>
<p>I just had my interview with an alumni, it went great! It lasted over two and a half hours!</p>
<p>in dallas they’re doing this “super saturday” interview thing where all the applicants and all the interviewers meet at a school on the weekend… kind of interesting, a little annoyed that i may not receive the personal attention of a more private interview environment. in this situation, im just one in the line. but hey, whatever.</p>
<p>When should we expect to hear our decision? The very latest would be April 1st, will they wait that long?</p>

<p>I just got a call to set up an interview! However, i didnt get any email with a Columbia ID yet -_-. Is that a bad thing?</p>
