Official Columbia University Transfer Thread Fall 2012

DO IT. please. this wait is KILLING me.

I’m applying to Brown, Columbia, Cornell, and UPenn! I really hope I receive the news before the 15th… that’s when all of my final exams are!

^feel your pain… my last final is on the 15th and the first on the 8th… how am I supposed to study with this looming over me.

lol the wait just sucks. I still haven’t told any of my friends that I have applied to transfer. That makes the wait worse with housing/class registration.

“just sucks” amen to that… lol should be studying rn.

Does Columbia require a Mid-year Report? o3o

I haven’t sent one in and didn’t receive anything about missing materials. It’s also not mentioned on the application tracker. :|

it isn’t mentioned on the tracker, but the website clearly states:

Mid-Term Report from instructors whose courses you are enrolled in at the time you file your application.

D: Do you think it’s too late to send one in?

Thanks for the information.

No!! Go ahead and send one! It can’t hurt you at this point

Hi everyone,

I have been accepted and I’m wondering about transferring my cc credits, financial aid, moving and all the other scary things that come with going to CU. Does anyone know the trend for what CU accepts in terms of transfer credits?

I assume by your past posts you are a GS acceptee… Congratulations!! how were you notified?

They do course by course evaluation… I know you meet with a transfer counselor in the summer if you accept the offer and you’ll see your credits

Congrats sbmoody!

and thanks MJG678.

: )

Came back from classes and saw this in my inbox… my heart skipped a beat
“Thank you for your application. We are happy to inform you that… your financial aid application is complete” DAMN IT!! I was getting ready to do my sexy dance arghh!!

omg… you actually made me so nervous for a second… UGH, so close to decisions, yet soooo soo far.

Funny how so close can seem so far…

Just checked and all of my application materials have been received!! woo!!

also, not that I am OBSESSING, but last year on

Here we go:

“Document tracking for both TRANSFER admissions documents and financial aid documents has been taken down in preparation for releasing TRANSFER results on Friday, May 13th after 5:00pm (EST).”

tracking was taken down, this year Columbia already told us tracking will be down by May 4th, so that seems too early for a decision, but maybe a week later?

nah, no obsessing… lol we all do it. hopefully you’re right.

so penn is the 10th, seems plausible that columbia is the 11th

hopefully you’re right!!! it seems that it was that way last year…
