Rosh I already asked that question above.
inspiration08 said that it's ok

I think you guys are talking about recommendations. I am talking about the actual teacher evalutation form.

The one that asks how would you rate this student's intellectual ability "Topp 10%, Top 2-3%, etc.,"
lol.

How do I apply electrical engineering in common application? There isn't a major called "electrical engineering" in the list.

I guess I'll ask again - If I applied to a school ED already with the Common App but need to make changes to my application for the RD round, is the only way to make these changes to create a new Common App account?

Eloquence, you don't need to open a new account. You can create a new version of your common app. Just go to the Help section and it walks you through it.

Okay, I'll check it out later, thanks PG :)

Should you count an extended volunteer activity as a "employment" if you don't have any experience in employment, as in I counted my volunteer hours at the local library also as employment????
Also, In Michele Hernandez's Acing the college application book, she recommended doing an activity list detailing more specifically the activities you did in high school (since common app gives limited space). Do you guys think that is really helpful??? Do admissions staff have the time to read an activity list???

where do we explain the clubs that we're in, i.e. how much money we raised and what we do? there are so few lines to write in. and where do we put like music awards and such? they only give like 3 lines for scholastic awards...should we attach a resume for everything? and if we're allowed to attach a resume, can i just put down every club that i've ever been in -_- same thing for awards, can i put down like regional awards even if i have better stuff. AHH! and wow...i don't have any work experience. would it look bad if that part's entirely blank =(

and why do they have to have like 10 lines for work experience anyways, and have one line to describe the club/awards/letters etc.

hmm yeah, if i have no room on the activities section to put volunteerwork, can i put it in the summer jobs?

in my opinion, the MIT app > the common app. they should ask about AMC/USAMO scores :)

i haven't had the time to finish all my supplements. is it okay to submit both the commonapp and the application fee then have the school send my transcripts, letters of rec, etc and then submit my supplements during christmas holiday?

Rosh:
My saying recommendation that's what I meant, Teacher's Evaluation.

OK
Somebody please tell me:

1 if my school is supposed to send a high school transcript (9-11 grade) along with the secondary school report

2 i the mid year report supposed to ahve the grades only for 12th grade first semester (not 9,10,11 grade)?

Can the mid year report be given after the regular action deadline?

help!, cutting it close with common app...just submitted my common app on Dec 10 and the deadline for the program needs it by dec 10. However it says under application status and supplment status: downloaded, date dec 11! It also says payment submitted, Dec 10. What does downloaded mean? Am I too late? Any advice would be appreciated!

The mid year report is sent after the first semester grades are available, usually in late January/early February, unless a school requires it earlier. The counselors know how to fill out the forms.

The downloaded date just means that the school looked at it on that day. It doesn't mean you missed the deadline. I think you are okay if you submitted it on the 10th.

Do the counselor recs and other school forms HAVE to have the common app id on the bottom? Because for some odd reason my forms didnt have the id on the bottom and I already sent them without noticing. Would colleges still be able to match my online application with the forms I've sent??

If a college says they only need you to send in 1 teacher evaluation form is it bad to send 2? I have 2 teachers that I know would write great things.

Are counselors supposed to send the high school transcript along with the secondary school report.
very imp question. my counselor doesn't know.

For degree received, one of my parents is going for a master's degree but is still in the process of getting it. Should I put the school down, the degree, and leave the year blank or just leave the degree and year blank?
