@ hollyd313: unweighted means out of a 4-point scale, period. Your school might award more than four points for getting an "A+" but for the purposes of college admissions they look only at the letter and not the + or -.

[] Strengths: good scores, very qualified
[] Weaknesses: essays were boring probably
[li] Why you think you were accepted: very qualified academically and had an impressive application[/li][/ul]General Comments: Good Luck!!

Wow. I'm suprised at the SAT scores of accepted applicants. I had previously assumed a 2100 was good enought, but with 2200's getting waitlisted I guess Cornell has up-ed its standards.

Any one wanna do a tally on avg SAT score and ACT score?

My SATs were terrible but thank god Cornell superscores the ACTIts crazy how the standards for this year for every top college went up. So many colleges are waitlisting and rejecting outstanding applicants.

Sorry ballaurena, turning down Cornell doesn't free up a waitlist spot. No college has 100% yield so all schools admit more students than they need to fill the class. Admissions estimates how many they have to accept to get what they need. They only go to the waitlist if they fall short and not as many accept their offer as they had anticipated.

rejected... oh well, it wasn't meant to be.

Rejected. :/

rejected.-------

Rejected - But they will regret this decision twenty years down the road. I guarantee it.
