As customary and tradition of CollegeConfidential, here goes 2020’s edition of the Cornell’s Regular Decisions(and deferred ED). I’m happy to be joining you guys on this expedition through the perilous admissions waters. As most of you know, the storm only gets worse from here on out, so we need the extra company and support.
Feel free to share your life experiences, your profile and/or what made you choose Cornell, as well as to which college in particular you are applying. The following links are some information I found useful, which hopefully can help you throughout these upcoming months.
@IndoorCloud25 , an awesome current Cornell student who can answer some of your more burning questions about the Bog Red! Just don’t shower him with too many questions. A guys gotta study too bros!

Initially, I was going to apply ED but it took much longer than I had expected to immigrate here. I am sort of an international student, but I’m losing that status in a few weeks. I have a very interesting set of experiences that life provided me throughout the last 7 years, which I am highlighting in my application to Cornell’s Human Ecology college. My intended major is Design and Environmental Analysis. Might even minor in computer science if I am allowed to. It’s so humbling to be able to share all of those experiences with any college, so I look forward to the decisions phase.
This thread might be dormant for a while, but soon enough all the other folks will stop by. I look forward to your arrival!
Another useful resource. Interactive webpage showing the acceptance rate by college and overall throughout the previous years at Cornell.

How did everyone find the application process? We should get this thread going I think
It wasn’t too bad - struggled a little bit with the supplement though. Where did everyone apply? I applied CAS
How can I show interest to Cornell to demonstrate their my number 1 choice, even though I couldn’t apply ED because of my I didn’t take the ACT
College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
Application process was okay. I applied for Arts & Sciences
i think my supplement was strong, but my personal statement might be a bit lacking!! also, i left out one important ec (i don’t know how i forgot it i must be crazy), presidency in the MUN club at my school.
without the leadership position i had in MUN, i have two other leaderships and two tutoring ecs, and a orchestra ec where i teach the entire 2nd violin section. i know its lacking compared to ecs of other students, but hopefully cornell can see my initiative and leadership clearly even without my position in MUN. regretssss
Hey guys!!! I applied for engineering (computer science) as well- I believe my supplements were strong too-
@Amyleeal , you can fax or write an email to them telling them of your leadership position!! They will add it to your profile!!

@AGoodFloridian Hey there, I remember you applied to the University of Florida last year (class of 2019) and were very active on their thread, like the mayor From Brazil, and you wanted to attend that University more than anything else in the world! When you got accepted, I believe to Engineering, we were all very happy for you. So what happened?
