Official Cornell Class of 2010 RD Results

LOL

I still can't believe i got i likely letter. I truly believe that what got me in were EC's (which is still incomplete as it remains), recommendations and essays. I'm a minority from a US territory so that might explain my low SAT, but hey, i girl from my school got into Harvard early with just a 1930 SAT similarly another girl got into Princeton early with a 1880. This might point out two things, either we minorities get handicaps or...as somebody already mentioned, maybe numbers aren't everything.

Hasn't anyone heard from ILR!?

I think most of the acceptances for hotel, cals, and ilr are sent out already.

gomestar- Have you hear any admission stats for ILR? Did RD apps go up?? I know the ED apps stayed about the same and they were predicting a similar situation for RD, but have you heard anything specific?

yeah, i applied ILR but i haven't heard anything yet and it worries me. especially since i'm hispanic and i didn't recieve anything about the diversity weekend. doesn't look good haha

How did you people hear from Cornell already? I haven't heard anything except "thank you for your application"...

Rolling Decisions

Okay, Arjun Shankar Prakash, I just have to say that your post (in response to mine) was stupid (and kind of mean), especially considering that for applicants to Cornell colleges without rolling decision were not supposed to hear yet. According the actual Cornell website, admission decisions will be posted on March 30 at 5 pm.

I'm not getting my hopes up because I know how much competition exists in the college admissions process, particularly at a school like Cornell. Still, I can hope to get in knowing that I have worked hard and am a highly qualified applicant, AND that I was not supposed to be informed yet.

Arjun was being sarcastic with his first sentence

he later went on to say reassuring words...

"common...u obviously know that hardly a few pwople here have recieved likely letters and actual letters of acceptances...also, likely letters are given out to only 5-10% of the app pool...it, BY NO WAY, means that ur out of the race"

ohh...Arjun

you guys!!!! stop asking questions like 'oh how did u get in with 1800 on the SAT'? SATs are not everything!! i know somebody who got into stanford with a 1280 on the old SAT! she just had other good stuff - grades, ECs, and nothing was outrageously brilliant like she didn't create her own microchip or something

Some people have found about their decisions to CAS (College of Arts and Sciences I assume)...does that college have rolling admissions? And if it does, how do we find out our decisions because I applied there and thought the earilest we could get our decision is March 30th.

CAS isnt rolling... they prolly found out b/c they were ED applicants or recieved likely letters
