Hello everyone, I know it may be a bit early to start a thread for spring transfer, but it is always good to start early isnt it Okay I will share my stats later when more people are here. But I already got a question: is ILR a Other academic interest option if using the Cornell apply system? Got any ILR transfer here?
updated: Wait I figured it out
ILR hopeful here!
Also applying!
I am currently a sophomore at the University of Oregon looking to transfer to Cornell’s ILR school this coming spring. I Let me know if you think I have a decent shot.
Cumulative GPA: 3.80
Major: Business Administration-Finance
Minors: Economics, Mathematics
*Accepted into the 2-year Honors Business program at the University of Oregon (highly selective and only the top 35 business students each year are accepted)
EC’s:
*UO College Republicans (going on 3 years of membership, and served as treasurer for 1 year)
*Volunteer in grass roots efforts for local political candidates (summer 2014-Roughly 120 hrs total)

*Admin Assistant for the ASUO Finance Committee (Dec. 2014-March 2015) (2hrs/wk)
*Merrill Lynch-Administrative Assistant (Feb. 2015-Present) (20 hrs/wk)
*TNT’s Hit series “The Librarians”-Recurring Extra (May 2014-Present) (15 hrs/day when booked-about 10 jobs so far)
*Member of the U of O Financial Management Association (going on 2nd year)
I have a lot of extra curricular activities, mostly centered around government/politics and also finance/economics, which is why I think that the ILR school would be a good fit for me, because it encompasses all of those things. I am paying my own way through college with no help, and have worked/interned anywhere from 20-120 hrs/wk for the last two years.
I have taken Micro and macro econ, psychology, foreign languages, business & accounting classes, I am finishing up my writing, and I have a class that should fill the Western Intelligence requirement, so I think I have covered all of the bases on pre-rec classes for applying to this major.
(Also, the ILR school does not require SAT/ACT, so I did not include my score).
@RedBear2016 I think you have a great shot, you definitively have the grades and EC’s, just make sure your essays properly outline your story and is quality material :).
Personally, I’m looking into SHA and I’m a bit undecided if I want to transfer during Spring or Fall. Does anyone know if you can apply to Fall after applying to Spring without repercussions? And if it’s possible to defer a possible admission during Spring to apply during the Fall again?
(If you would like to chance me, you can check out my stats here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cornell-university/1801464-do-i-have-a-fair-chance-sha-spring-transfer.html#latest).

I’m pretty sure I have all the prereqs covered as well Super interested in ILR, would really love to get accepted (the major is why I’m applying). I think you have a great chance!! My middle class family won’t get financial aid, so I’m pushing off applying until March for Fall 2016. Best of luck to you, perhaps we can chat a bit about our experiences!
