@Caintpau how recently did you talk to the admissions rep that said November 15?
I know last year, decisions began to be released on Tuesday, November 11. By any chance, has anyone been notified about a decision?
Haven’t seen anything on it yet, with it being nearly 5pm there already I bet the first batch isn’t going to be today. Tomorrow is a holiday, so unless they plan to work through it, I bet we’ll start getting word on Thursday (the 12th).
I have a feeling the bulk of decisions will be released next Tuesday, the 17th
Reading the thread from 2015 Spring I noticed that the ILR applicants heard back around this time and the SHA applicants heard back late November/early December. But I’m sure it also depends on how soon you got all of your materials in. Good look everyone!!
Luck**
Ah, I’m CAS so I don’t know if that affects it.
@RedBear2016 Around the last week of October I believe. My college report wasn’t appearing as received so I was in contact with their office for a few days trying to get that sorted out.
Keep in mind she said that it was a ballpark estimate of around when we can expect to hear back. So it’s probably anytime this week or next week haha.
@Caintpau ok, thanks for letting us know! I hope it’s this week. I’m so anxious I don’t know what to do with myself
Good luck!
Did you guys receive a separate email to complete IDOC forms for financial aid? It takes so long. Ugh. I’m finally almost finishing up. Hopefully I’m ok timeline-wise. Was this part of the initial financial aid process? I didn’t even get an email or have access to my financial aid to-do list until like last week. Ugh now I have to scramble. The stress.
No I didnt; I hope that isn’t a bad sign :(. I also didnt apply for financial aid so I hope thats why
I didn’t either, and I still can’t access my finaid to-do list…when did your application go complete?
@Caintpau yes, that is why. If you didn’t apply for financial aid, then the IDOC forms are irrelevant. So you’re all good
@Vctory My application went complete about a week after the deadline. Probably ~October 21st?
@Caintpau My friend got into SHA as a 2015 Fall transfer and she got an email that linked her to a website where she was able to log-in and access her results. I have heard some cases where people get phone calls but I think that’s pretty rare!
Where are all the applicants this year?? This thread has like 5 people…
Let’s hope we’re the only ones @RedBear2016
I had no idea this page existed for Spring 2016. What did you guys all apply? I applied for PAM major in College of Human Ecology. So scared, but it seems as if not a lot of people applied to transfer for this upcoming semester.
Praying that’s the case right now @ronniec95 [-O<
I don’t wanna be one of those people that write 5 page essays about their stats so ill try and keep it short and simple…Do I have a chance to get into the School of Hotel Administration?
Highschool stat: GPA 3.3
there were 5 intramural sports i participated in all year round, i was the captain for all of them.
I was on the roller hockey team
I worked at a movie theater throughout highschool, and volunteered at a childrens learning center.
—However, i am transferring in the spring 2016 semester of my sophomore year in college so i don’t know how much weight Cornell will put on my high school stats.
College Stat: GPA 3.75
I am on the men’s basketball team at my college. (we are D2) Also, I am hoping they take into account how much i practice, and my GPA. Even though i am not going to be playing for Cornell, i hope they see a student-athlete with a high GPA as a big plus.
I am going to be working at a Marriot for about six months before i apply.
My dad is a Hotelie. Also, i worked at my dads hotel when he owned one.
I go to a liberal arts school in Alabama.( i am asking this question because i dont wanna get my hopes just to be rejected lol)
It doesn’t seem like there are many people applying to transfer this semester, which I hope works to our advantage. I’m applying to CALS as an Earth Science major from a state school in Texas. I hope I get in! I hear that CALS is a little less selective. Any truth to that?
