Redbear, Cornell will work with you, since the forms are ‘due’ by the application date (September 15th? Or October 15th?), they don’t expect you to have it all done right away. Give them a call and ask what to do.
Still no news! I may try to call/email Ian or admissions tomorrow.
@ILRTransfer16 Same here, getting even more anxious!
^If you decide to call or email, please post back with what he says!
@Wittmann thanks! My dad spoke with them today, and they were very helpful! I was able to get it taken care of
Maybe we’ll hear tomorrow?
that’s what we said yesterday
@cahanks I was looking at the forum from last semester’s transfers and the list of acceptances and rejections was a bit unsettling.
On the list that I looked at, most applicants that were accepted , were in what I would call “week one” which in their case was 4/14. Then the following week, 4/2,1 is when most applicants were rejected. I don’t know if we are in week one or week two, but considering that people were accepted to CALS last week, it may seem like we’re week 2. However, there were still some small acceptances in week two but much less than the first week’s group. just something to think about.
^Arts and Sciences hasn’t come out yet though (I hope). Neither has ILR if I’m not mistaken.
I mean this in the kindest way, but I think some of you need to take a chill pill and relax!! Everything will work out the way it’s supposed to, and at this point you can’t change anything. I think worrying about it too much will just cause unnecessary stress. I think you should just wait for the letter to come instead of worrying now. That being said, I’m truly hoping for the best for all of us.
Question for you all, did you apply to anywhere other than Cornell?
@Caintpau just Cornell for me
NYU, BC, Brandies, Middlebury
Just Cornell!
@joyceulysses All great schools! I think you’ll definitely get into NYU and BC - I’m not familiar with Brandies or Middlebury though.
And of course Cornell is amazing :).
My schools are:
UMich - admitted
Emory
Northwestern - rejected
Notre Dame
UVA
Cornell
UIUC, Georgia Tech, UMich, Cornell
@schaudha Did you hear back from UMich yet?
I only applied at Cornell.
It’s the last semester for me at Community College, since I’ve completed everything to transfer as a Junior, so I guess one could say it’s Cornell or bust.
I hope we all get in though! If we do, let’s all meet up for lunch that first week for a “College Confidential Reunion”, haha.
(also I just got admitted to Emory (found out 1 minute ago))
So…how often do you guys refresh your emails these days? :)) . Twice a minute for me lol :-SS
