Official Cornell Class of 2019 Early Decision

yes

@manas1997 When I went the person conducting it was the admissions director. It’s normally him or his assistant.

Only 13 days left (Not counting today). Will definitely be the longest thirteen days of my life so far.

@BearBear10312‌ Come on bro, we normally wait until after 12:01 AM to do the day count :smiley:

Can’t wait to become best friends with you guys over the next 4 years (hopefully)

@Kungpaoasian‌ Yeah, but that’s why I said “general idea.” I would think they would have some applicants they aren’t quite sure about and would like to hear back from the CAAAN meetings. And since you met with an admissions director, I’m assuming yours was an actual interview? At least for me, with the alum meeting, it was just an alum. @missartsygirl‌ I’ve been told you get it if you have an alum near you that is a CAAAN volunteer, you might get one. But if you do have a CAAAN volunteer near you (it would be difficult to find out if there was), and you don’t get one… that’s a bit odd.

@Radbg74‌
Both @ncurcio6‌ and I attended an information session with an admissions officer. It wasn’t really an interview, but the director did really grill me about my interests and how they relate to PAM. I’m sure ncurio6 can describe having a similar experience. I did not have a CAAAN interview as I’m from an area with few active Cornell alumni.

Wow there are 7 PAM ED applicants on this thread! :smiley:

It’s really odd, nobody from my school has gotten an interview, even though I know we have alumni all around us

I wonder what I’m going to do with my time after the 11th, when I no longer have to check this site every 10 minutes

@Kungpaoasian‌ I think you’re getting the things mixed up. I attended the engineering info session. He’s talking about the alum meeting.

@acdc1272‌ It means none of those alums are CAAAN volunteers. IMPORTANT: ALUMS HAVE TO BE CAAAN VOLUNTEERS. JUST BECAUSE THERE ARE ALUMS DOES NOT MEAN THERE ARE CAAAN VOLUNTEERS

@Radbg74‌ Trust me the informational session was supposed to be about the college but it ended about being about the applicant.

@Radbg74‌ yeah i heard that too but my friend from school is applying to same major and same college as me who didn’t get an info session. i don’t know if its just random or i have a better chance, or she has a better chance. maybe im reading too much into this :stuck_out_tongue:

Radbh74 (I cant tag on my computer for some reason), I meant that there are CAAAN volunteers in my area that I know of

@Radbg74‌ ^

Are you guys also working on other apps during the wait?

“I wonder what I’m going to do with my time after the 11th, when I no longer have to check this site every 10 minutes”
So true, @jamesjunkers!

Just had a dream that I got rejected. Brain, please don’t do this to me.

“Hoping for the best but expecting the worst are you gonna drop the bomb or not?”
