Official Cornell Early Decision Class of 2017

Since Cornell wants students to choose a major when applying…Does anyone know if Cornell accepts students based on the available seats in a major?

Well they don’t want too many of one major or other but the numbers are pretty fluid since many individuals end up changing their intended major. This usually only applies in CAS though.

definitely! i’m applying for a nutrition major… Im hoping there arent a lot of other people applying for that major. that way, I have a better chance of getting in. but definitely, if there are a ton of people applying for the same major, it’s going to be more competitive

I know nobody else on here is applying to AAP, but there are a limited number of seats per major for them. But also it’s important to apply to a specific major, and the admissions are major specific…
Pretty much AAP is very specific about everything

For other colleges it is as the above posters have said

Hey guys, I really need advice!
I won a math competition at a university and qualified for quiz bowl nationals recently.
Is this something I should notify the admissions office to help my application?
I’m wondering if its too late and if they’ll even look at it.
This is CAS btw
ty

Same, I was wondering if I could casually email AAP admissions and thank them for reviewing my application and send them two more pieces that I’ve completed after I submitted my application. Is that okay or…?

Also intl student here. I received no email, though.

Do u have anything on your to-do list?

@limz10 :- Did you apply for financial aid?
What all documents did you submit before?
I guess…u must have submitted only the CSS Profile , because that is the only thing they asked for , right?
They said the other documents must be submitted only UPON REQUEST?

What all documents did you submit before???

I did not have anything on my to-do lists .
Did you have anything?

Anticipation is killing me! my scores aren’t that good, but i hope my essay did me good…anyone else applying to CHE?

I applied to CHE! for nutrition. what about you?

@gwang I applied to CHE too! for human development! I’m on the same boat as you, scores not that impressive but everything else quite solid. let’s hope they see our devotion to cornell and give us the chance to go :)

Hey guys, in case you missed it there is a facebook page for us! Check out the previous page :)
