Official Cornell Early Decision Class of 2017

@breakinggrace I didn’t get much financial aid, so yes I think the fin aid isn’t a huge issue because I expected to have to pay most of the 43k. I’m worrying about getting in.

I think it will be interesting to see if the people who have been offered financial aid get accepted or not. At least we could pass down some new information to next year’s applicants.

the same goes for me… I didn’t apply for financial aid either.

stop worrying people

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cornell-university/736542-anyone-else-still-waiting-their-financial-aid-package.html

When I click on my financial aid it says “No current to do item information found.”

At least it’s not telling me I am restricted or something. Idk how to access housing or anything like that.

Question… my financial aid says “inquiry access denied”. my family makes a sufficient amount of money, so we do not expect financial aid but applied anyways just to see. Does this message mean that my aid wasnt calculated and I was rejected? or could it possibly mean my request for financial aid was denied by the school. im nervous and confused!

well, my mom is a single parent not earning a lot and I applied for aid. it says the same too. I think they haven’t come across all financial aid yet

5 days, you guys…

This is me for the next 5 days:

hahahaha. me: http://i.minus.com/ibaFONnvKV8emQ.gif

the international fin-aid department sent me an email last night… stating that I need to send in my parents’ tax return things by December 14th… does this mean that I am in because the admission result will be out on December 13th but my fin-aid materials are due on December 14th? has anyone else just received this email??
btw… i am an international applicant

@ guddukhanna

i think your reasoning is correct. They would not want your tax information if you are not even accepted there. What college wants extra work. Congrats,
based on the tax information i see currently, i have strong reason to believe that i was not accepted, because i cant even see my tax information. They should be done with decisions right now.

5days 16hrs 30min… It is right before school ends for me, that could really affect my driving back to home…

Since i’m living abroad, I find out on my friday morning…right before my honors physics and AP calc exam.

whyyyyy ):

Say multiple people from my school applied to Cornell early but to different colleges…would Cornell know that and limit how many to accept from that school or would each college do the decisions?

thanks so much- turns out I had the email all along I just never noticed it. So that is the same login and password that I use to check my admission decision?

Cornell will email you a new login and password for a separate decision page a few days in advance of December 13.

flyingeagle- technically I don’t think Cornell isn’t supposed to look at how many people from a particular high school applied. In theory, all of you should be able to get in. But I’m not sure because I can’t seem to find where I saw this statement. If I find it i’ll post it.

When it says “inquiry access denied” it has nothing to do with whether you got aid or not it is the website telling you that cornell has restricted you from viewing it.

Okay thank Newberrytiger, because I know another person applied from my school who is pretty qualified too but he applied to another college so thanks!
