Official Cornell Early Decision Class of 2017

1 day 3 hours and 53 minutes people!!!

Can the admin of the Facebook group please make it public

@SC3219 - I know!!! I made a countdown on my phone! So excited, but oh so nervous, too. Appears to be tough competition this year!

@student22664 I didn’t, but I also didn’t check until after they apparently removed it.

I just checked the website an they accept students based on major here is what it says exactly from the CALS page.
CALS selects students who are ready to dive into their major as soon as they set foot on campus. As a result, students must apply to a specific CALS major and are chosen based upon their academic and personal fit for that course of study. There is no “undeclared” major at CALS.
with that being said how many applied to CALS for Animal Science

Who also applied for Food Science??

Re ILR…
“Correct, if you applied to ILR, you will not get rejected tomorrow. I confirmed this at an info. meeting”

Anyone ? I assumed this held true

What about Applied Economics Management for CALS? :O

@oohtobeagooner

AEM is the most selective program in Cornell undergrad.
They most certainly reject students…many students… ***

Does cornell ILR reject or not???

apparently not

tomorrow ; o;

@imdc do you know the acceptance rate? average SAT/ACT score?

please drive carefully if you are driving home around 5pm tomorrow. if you guess you have a long shot at ED, then don’t check until you have taken your dinner. if you are so sure about getting in, then check at 5 PM! I will be checking after dinner lol. There’s only one more day to change their mind: so if you just won some national award, became a spiderman after a lab trip or invited to join the Avengers or got an invite to the Nobel, make sure you get hold of Cornell and tell them. Good luck everyone.

@oohtobeagooner

about 10-14%; idk about SAT scores, probably around the same as university average
There’s only about 90-110 kids though lol gg ***

Anyone willing to chance me for Hotel School, it would be HUGELY appreciated.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1429079-chance-me-cornell-hotel-ed-last-time.html#post15169630

Have a good evening, and may the odds be ever in your favor!

Also, does anyone know what percent Hotel School ED accepted/deferred/rejected last year, or at any time in the recent past for that matter?

Thanks!

90-110 kids who apply or 90-110 who get accepted lol. I am so mad that I didn’t do a second essay for another school, when I found out I could it was too late!

90-110 accepted i believe

From what I hear, only a very small percent get admitted to their second choice school, so I don’t think you’re missing out on a whole lot
