Official Cornell Early Decision Class of 2017

People should post their SAT scores out of 1600 if they are going to post them at all.

Posting your SAT out of 2400 isn’t a good barometer, especially if a lot of people get upper 700s in Writing.

@student22664 Same with the SAT score, I’m almost in the same position as you

I’m not going to lie. I’m pretty nervous, because the SAT is the only part that is pulling my profile down. However, I’m being encouraged by my teachers that Cornell wants to know why I intend to pursue my major and my essays too.

@Yellowdog99 Hopefully, you wrote a good essay! What is your major and school?

I’m applying for biology within the CALS.

Where else are you guys going to apply/have applied?

Safeties are Tulane and University of Maryland. If Cornell doesn’t work out, I’ll apply to all the ivies and other schools like WashU, Northwestern, uChicago etc.

I submitted my app to Cornell ED along with the application fees on 11/1. The status on Cornell website says that they have not yet recieved the payment. Anyone with a similar experience? The money is deducted from bank and the common app website shows the payment status as completed.

My profile:

^ It says on the website that it takes 5-7 business days for the application fee to come through I think, so just give it another couple of days and check again.
I applied on 11/1 as well, and mine hasn’t come through either.

Hey people, I’m an hopeless international applicant who is applying to cornell with a low SAT, I’m so sure that my SAT will kill my application. (Before you ask, its a 1330) :(

Don’t worry FooFighter. All good students do not receive superb SAT scores.

Which school are you applying to as ED?

I’m applying to CALS for AEM… (I know its even more tough there)

I submitted my ED app. on 11/04 and have yet to receive any sort of confirmation from Cornell, is this normal?

Cornell looks at your grades and classes first. You can find that information about the importance of SAT on cornell’s questions admissions page.
