Thank you!
Altough it’s obvious, now I see clearly that stressing out won’t help at all. Just look at how lucky we all are already! To be honest, I’d never thought that I would even be able to apply to Cornell. An Ivy League school. A school in America. In a language I taught myself. I thought I would for ever stay where I’m from, but here I go - an international high school where a stranger pays my tuition is already way beyond what I’d ever dreamt of, or anyone in my country.
Sorry for talking about myself - all I want is to convince everyone (including myself) that it’s time to adopt a new attitude! Applying to Cornell is a huge priviledge in itself :)

^Well said.

We are the most active of all the ED/EA ivy school applicants!

Are you getting this^ from the 900+ comments on this thread? :p

@thisisit29 - That’s cause we are awesome and so is Cornell :D:D:D

ola1szeptem, I totally understand what you mean! It is truly a privilige and I am feeling so lucky to be able to do that. Just today I was looking into Johns Hopkins sat score range and I was surprised to see that I am almost in their 50% range. If someone told it to me 5 years ago, I wouldn’t even believe it. I am really passionate about Cornell and it is my first choice but honestly guys we will be fine wherever we go.

Anyone else applying to BFA?

Whose an AAP architecture applicant? Bet everyone who applied did their best in portfolios and interviews that no other departments require :T oh, except for the Hotel School.

I’m also assuming AAP picks about 50 students in ED from 400 applicants…wellp I have no where else to go in Top schools for architecture…sigh (I really envy other majors!)

Anyone else applying EA to uchicago? It’s my second choice but they still haven’t released a decision date. Just “late-December” which could be anywhere from the 16th to the 30th lol :(

Finally got the update for the 16th. Applied to CoE from NY.

@ola1szeptem- I know too well what you mean! I applied to Cornell (ED) last year, but didn’t put in too much work into it. I decided to apply just a moth before the ED deadline. Though I got rejected, the whole change in attitude towards moving away from home, thrill of going abroad for college, and getting to meet new people remains ingrained even today, so much so that here I am applying ED again.

@muhammad9211 Similar situation as you. I mailed my parent’s tax forms about 5 days after the nov. 8th deadline, but it still shows up on my “to do list”. Did you contact them about your issue cause like you, I really need to know an estimated FA if I get accepted ;/

I think my application went into the auto reject bin :(

^ Why?

@ola1szeptem- What place in Europe are you from? France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, or some of the Eastern countries?

I personally find it great that you’ve learned English on your own. It… can be tough. I self-studied English too, and though I managed to write and read properly, my pronunciation can be off. Is yours?

@embargo, I submitted the non filing statement through the online submission portal. submitted my parents’ statement as well as my own in one go. Got email confirmation shortly after. Now apparently they have mine but not my parents’

I don’t think there is something called auto rejection. I have friends who went to Ivies with high 1700s/low 1800 SATs

^ that’s pretty rare though. You sure they weren’t athletes, legacies, or paid their way in?

It’s snoowwing! :)

Bubbles888: Nope but the thing with us, internationals, is that sometimes universities want you because they do not have your country in their university so that they can advertise and say we have students from BLABLA countries. And as far as I know, there are not so many applicants from Middle East region.

If I don’t get into Cornell I will probably apply ED2 to NYU Stern. If that doesn’t work out, I’ll likely take my spot at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana (A school I really like and doesn’t get the recognition it deserves) where I was a direct admit, barring an acceptance to Notre Dame.

…But I really hope I get into Cornell

Anyone else applying to any of my schools? Good luck guys. the 16th is comin fast!

Any fine arts ppl out there?
