@asdfghbvcx
I’ll private message you them because I’m a little nervous about throwing them on the internet like that. Could you send me his? I feel the same way. I don’t know anyone else applying for Entomology, though I wish I did.

@getoveritnow

“It’s a fine line between acting nervous and acting like a jittery chicken with its head cut off. I’m surprised no one has asked about the planet alignments at 5PM on Monday and how that will affect internet transmissions on Earth, causing all results to say “denied.””

MADE MY DAY.

@violabug3 He doesn’t have college confidential id and I couldn’t text you since I have less than 15 posts but still do you have lots of extra’s related to bugs?

My friend got deferred from Duke today. She’s number one in our class, fantastic SAT score, at least over 2000, and she still got deferred. Makes me even more nervous for Cornell!

So what’s everyone doing to distract themselves? I tried studying for AP Chem but that didn’t work.

@asdfghbvcs I did an internship in Detroit, attended Nature camp when I was younger and I attempted to go to a summer camp last summer at University of Kentucky (because it’s the only summer camp related to Entomology I could find) but it ended up being canceled because not enough people applied! That made me sad.

@Alexmer,

I’m trying to distract myself with no luck at all. I already have butterflies!

@Alexmer
I’m planning for a short trip to a beach this weekend!

@GuavaRhee,

lucky! It’s going to be 16 degrees where I live. Perfect for a swim.

my friend got deferred from dartmouth which scares me because she is super smart week

looking at this calm my nerves [Countdown to Dec 16, 2013 5:00 PM in Augusta](<a href=“Time since Dec 16, 2013 5:00 pm started in Augusta, Maine”>Time since Dec 16, 2013 5:00 pm started in Augusta, Maine)

Violabug, sounds like a plan!! Looking forward to talking to you about assassin bugs and whirlgig beetles and leaf cutter bees and more when competition starts

As of now, I’m trying to distract myself by studying for my AP Gov test tomorrow. It’s only taken me an hour to get my textbook out of my backpack and onto my desk.

One friend got deferred from Duke and one got accepted. Waiting on one friend’s MIT decision, then me, then two applied to UChicago. It’s that time of year-so nervous!!!

@Coriander23 I feel you. My planner has been sitting on my desk for an hour or so and I’m juuuuust starting to do homework.

@violabug3 Welcome to the ED thread. I know lots of entomologists (and I saw what you did up there with “butterflies.” Cornell is a fantastic school for entomology, but if it is your passion you’ll find a way no matter what your decision is on Monday. Best of luck to you!

my friend had highhhh stats for everything. still couldn’t get in to Duke… happy we chose Cornell. it’s more of “fit”. as long we have adequate grades andd test scores, we’re set.

@violabug3 for some reason, i feel like you will have a lot of chance getting in! i look forward to hearing your acceptance letter :D

@Coriander23 samee… dont know what to do. kinda feel lazy and not do anything other than just wait. haha

@Alexmer i’m trying to force myself to not think of Cornell stuff. but it’s not really working. i even dreamed about getting rejection letters. lol

do you guys think Cornell is already done with all the decisions? are they just waiting for the stuff to upload?
