Official Cornell Early Decision Class of 2018

AAAAAAA I hope it won’t be any later than 13th of December!!

Same here, I really hope we’ll know for sure by mid-December! Only forty or so more sleeps until then…

I sure hope to read my rejection letter as soon as possible!

P.S. If karma exists, please note this is sarcasm and I actually am dying to get into Cornell.

It better not be any later than Dec. 13 because I do NOT want to be worrying about this decision on top of my midterms.

Oh, who am I kidding. I’ll be worrying either way. Still, the earlier, the better.

Also, is anyone else’s CA still being really strange?

Mine isn’t letting my other recommender upload her letter. On Cornell’s page, it says that the letter has been “started,” but for some reason, she can’t get past the load screen to actually send the letter. A similar thing is happening to my friend (Penn ED) with one of her teacher’s letters.

Everything else it’s fine. It’s just that one letter. I’ve already emailed my local admissions officer and she told me to just send it in by mail if all else fails, but I don’t understand why CA is being so difficult.

Hey guys how many of you are doing primary/alternate? I’m doing Ag and then Engineering.

So, I know the Application is Due in 2 days and I also know that If one is applying to the school of Arts and Sciences, you need to submit two SAT II’s. Is it ok if I have SAT II Physics and US History under my belt to Submit for EA? I will be taking Math Lv 2 and Bio in December, but will they consider that?

No, they wouldn’t get December test scores in time. They recommend testing be completed by October for ED. November testing is pushing it. Think about it. You wouldn’t get your December test results until the end of December, which is after early decisions come out.

@IndianKid, Cornell rarely accepts you at your alternate if you’re rejected at your primary. It doesn’t happen often.

For those of you who didn’t choose an alternate school, did you still have to pick an alternate major? My app shows an alternate major for some reason

Not for me, Mine has only one field saying “Anticipated major within the college/school you’ve chosen above” after I put in CoE as my primary choice. Nothing after that, and no alternate major field…must be a glitch. Did it show up in the PDF generated?

@truust well it can’t hurt to try

Hi everyone! ILR ED-er here  nerves are kicking in a bit!

Hey, quick question. When applying primary/alternate, do both schools see both of your supplemental essays, or do they only go to the school you’re applying to?

Is the due date at the end of 11/8/13 transitioning to 11/9/13 or right before 11/8/13?

Why is my alternate choice school essay better than my primary choice

I can’t believe it, I was ready to submit my app today but my counselor never told me about an ED Agreement. On Common App, it says not started… Also if anyone can help, if I send my scores today, will Cornell receive it or should I rush the scores? I always thought it was done electronically so it would be instantaneous.

Just ED’d to engineering, now ready to die from sadness.

I ED’d for physics. My UW GPA is only about 3.4-3.5, (there are reasons);however, my test scores are fine and my essays are too, (I hope). The major catch I have is the fact I have studied 2-3 years of Math and Physics at a University in the last two years of High School, so who knows.
