Let's make this the official thread for results, which come out next Thursday.

If you go to the tracker right now, the message will show:

Hello [misterpresident],

As Cornell admission selection committees approach the end of early decision application review, we want to share information with you regarding Cornells online admission decision notification process.

Early decision applicants will be able to view their admissions decisions online on Thursday, December 10, beginning at 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). A few days prior to the decision release date, we will contact all early decision applicants by email with instructions for viewing your decision online. Please note that decisions will not be posted on your Cornell online application status account, so please follow the instructions that will be outlined in our email to you.

You do not need to do anything further at this time. We will post a new message on our web site once we have sent the email instructions for viewing your decision online.

Spring transfer applicants: Please note that spring transfer admissions decisions will not be available online and will be mailed to you by paper letter.
"

So...how are you guys feeling?

I feel like this thread is a few days too early

oh well. Let’s just remember to bump it on the day before.

Please don’t reply to this thread too much in the time being so that we don’t end up having to skip to page 40 to reach the actually decisions.

Stole this from the 2013 thread… but, here it is, a nice format for decisions =D (just take out the spaces inside of the brackets)

Please remember to write the college/major you have applied to when you post your decision.

Last year’s 2013 thread was made 4/5 days before the decision date. I’m gonna keep that tradition so I’m gonna bump this thread right now.

Looking forward to good news for all of us on the 11th =)

you mean the 10th?

oops. 10th that’s right. 11th was last year lol

It would also be interesting to add to the comments section whether or not your quarter grades were requested, and how good those grades were.

Should list ACT for those who didn’t submit SAT.

From what I’ve heard, only some ENG applicants got asked for quarter grades.

i just want to see their decision already… its freaking me out that my application is sitting somewhere at cornell with either an accepted, defer, or deny label on it!!! prob one of the last two… =[

im interested to know how many of you:

when you guys submitted your apps, did you think that you had a solid chance and would probably get in?

I thought I had a good chance, but I’ve grown less and less hopeful as time passed.

I thought I had a decent-ish chance, but just the stats alone of the rest of the CC applicants has had me doubting myself so much. Even if we constitute ~2% of the applicants this year.

I thought I was a match when I submitted, but these boards have killed any confidence I had.

I think you’re pretty dumb or naive if you think a school as selective and as fit-oriented as Cornell is a match or a safety.

i think that was harsh malan89.

All I’m saying is that people shouldn’t get their hopes up about these kinds of schools. A lot of people with great stats treat Cornell as their safety (to other, “higher ranked”, Ivies and top schools) and, as a result, don’t care much about Cornell, don’t show a fit, and don’t get in. Don’t take the numbers for granted.

true, but aMak is an ED applicant. That changes things.
