so we should start getting their replies by next week to next next week right?
i really wanna kno…
i have a lot riding on this >_>

Just got into University of Michigan… does that mean I have a shot at getting accepted to Cornell??

@kevlar

yup, decisions start rolling out next
the anxiety’s killing me also - i’ve been checking the CUWebLogin at least twice a day though nothing changed the past 2 weeks or so haha.

@xio68

congrats on UM!
regarding you question though… UM is easier to transfer to so I don’t think it will help you predict you chances for Cornell very much. i guess it can give you a peace of mind that you are at least a top-20 school caliber student and therefore not a auto-reject at Cornell

kinda obvious but it’s hard to predict you chaces basically because of this: (accepted UM, accepted Cornell > accepted UM, rejected Cornell > rejected UM, accepted Cornell > rejected UM, rejected Cornell)

if you gain admission to a school generally viewed as harder to transfer into than Cornell, then that might serve as a quasi-predictor.

i heard that the infamous decisions come via mail
would it also come via e-mail?
ahhhhhhhh
who else applied to CALS?

I just spoke with one of the processing client…and I was told decisions comme via mail not email. I applied to CALS-AEM

applied to aem. my app went for review yesterday.

i have a 3.7, 3.85 midterm report. i’m pretty sure i have solid essays and decent extracurriculars.

hmmm i was told that decisions will be sent out through email before mail… We’ll see!

Still have to send my mid-term report though. My profs are taking so long =(

@cutiebeauty

Are you sure they wont send emails? They traditionally sent both…

Im applying to aem as well? To those who applied to cals: did you guys choose an alternate major?

I’d imagine that the notification processes are different for each school. Calling and talking to a representative for the school to which you applied is the best course of action if you want to know how admissions decisions will be released.

@transfers2010

yes different schools might have different methods of notifying us, but we have conflicting info for CALS. :P

@tallfrodo…like I said I spoke to one of the processing agents not CALS’…so transfers 2010 is correct giving that information. I will be calling back tomorrow though. I sent in my midterm report form earlier…but I have an updated one (higher scores) which I was told I could send in to replace the first one…but it looks like I wont fax it until next week Tuesday…
tallfrodo…aem major also? what’s your gpa if i may know?..oh, pls let me know if you get in…:-)…n oh, i did not choose an alternate major…I would have gone with info science…but then I thought, may be I shouldnt cuz accounting is what i want, and i might get rejected for that ,but accepted to info science…

Am I the only one that applied ILR? It seems like everyone is applying AEM. I know they aren’t the same but it seems like they would overlap somewhat.

@cutiebeauty
i’ll post my stats after I get my decision :p

What other colleges is everybody applying to??
Me: NYU, Emory, Fordham, and wanted to apply to Michigan but missed the deadline (thought it was 11/1).

This might help (hopefully) for some spring transfers. I applied to Cornell’s business school (forgot the exact name of the college) as a transfer for Fall 2010 and was accepted. GPA was a 4.0 with some good internships. For the essays I researched Ezra Cornell and integrated some of his philosophies with my perspectives. Overall, I bet Cornell is a great school, but I ended up choosing somewhere else. Good luck spring transfer apps.

@USofPlutarchy
Did you complete all the prereqs?

Cornell just sent me an email asking me to clear up my citizenship status. They stated that the REVIEW committee was confused about my citizenship status. I’m hoping it’s a good sign. Cause they wouldn’t care if they decided to reject me right? :D

@nahshimshimhaeyo lolol i would guess thats a good thing

darnnn i just spoke to one of the representatives from CALS, and they told me that they would notify by mid-november D:
i always thought they started notified on a rolling basis starting from november 1st >_>
and it turns out we’re gonna get e-mailed our decisions…oh this wait is gonna kill me >.<

@kevlar

they probably will start notifying nov 1st and finish notifying (most) people by nov 15th

@tallfrodo thanks
you applied to CALS too right? hope we all get in! =D
so whats everyone planning on doing for halloween?!

@kevlar

yup cals aem i have a an essay, 2 quizes, and a test next week so…studying on halloween hopefully i can concentrate - i can’t think of anything else besides cornell lol
