Official Cornell Transfer 2011

^skim319: Mr Schachner sent it to me after I e-mailed him two years ago lol.

Thanks eyethink, and congratulations for your admission. You deserve it.

Can you share your stats? Are you earning your Associates? What degree is in? Sorry for too many questions,

I am also from a community college and gpa is 3.85. I am getting A from all courses except the Public speaking course that I took in my first semester. I got C in that course because of my English skill :frowning:

I worked as a manager at a restaurant for a year and a half, and opened and have operated a similar business for 2 years. My essay is about how my work experience helped me to become aware of social labor and to initiate passion for labor relations. I am also participating in 3 club activities and I am a president in one of them. Lots of volunteering hours cumulated for 2 years. I hope these ECs and work experience will boost my chance to be in ILR.

I’d be glad to, you’ll find my stats on post #947. My personal statement is personal so I’m going to keep it that way, but I will say Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and that my experience was literally analogous to ILR’s mission. I’m not being bragging in any way either.

Any one applied for engineering

I applied for Engineering school, 2011 Fall (to be) Sophomore. My worry is the transfer of credits, but I’m sure they would transfer them fine if I got accepted.

Crazy part is how I saw that only like 26 men got accepted as transfers in the Engineer school one year, so that’s a slim chance for anybody, but what happens, happens.

Hopefully they send out stuff soon cause I’m getting antsy =)

wow~cool!congratulations~!
I am a international transfer, and We all are worried, and anxious about the admission decision. I also apply for CALS. well, I wanna know about the financial aid…

@randomm you are right… but I haven’t sent my midterm grade. I am planning to sent by next Friday hopefully… do you think doing research in physics as undergraduate will help you transfer. I applied for mechanical engineering. What major did you apply for.

please not a chem-e… not a chem-e, not a chem-e, not a chem-e… O_o;

Oh yea definitely, research would help you. It’s a big part of physics, so that is important. And I’m a Computer Science major.

Applied for A&S, here’s to hoping for the letter of admission.

Thank you.

My buddy @ Cornell is a mechanical engineering major. He told me his classes were hard as hell and he has no life outside studying. He also mentioned that he considered many times to jump off that bridge but was brought to his senses by the fences (dunno if he’s joking or not). Then again, Cornell engineerings also are the hardest to transfer into. So good luck to all you engineers! God knows you gonna need it

we should create Facebook page for acceptees like in previous years, but i dont know how

I just received my acceptance through fin aid office, I applied through GT option, but still makes me happy!

P.S I am international transfer!

the wait is killing me… i applied to ilr and i had my interview a few days after apps were due… my file was sent to committee very fast and kids have already gotten in… i cant do the waiting guys haha idk… all other decisions are coming out mid may… im just waiting on cornell every day now…

@transfer9858 Hey, I’m in the same boat. My application status went straight to review quite quickly. I think it’s because I’m applying as a Hotel Admin major and there aren’t any other required docs needed alongside the supplement and application (other than the interview).

Should we start a list of everyone on CC and our intended majors? (GT, too, if there are any, just state?) I saw that last year’s transfer thread did this and it’d be nice to see how many of us there are to represent each college at Cornell (:

@israilov - How did you find out your acceptance through financial aid?

@horse9118… well:: engineering general is hard…lol… I love it… I am not lucky, I am bless… I wil get into cornell… that’s my dream… do you know when they will notify engineering students.

@Blackbeltbabsz
