Official Cornell Transfer 2011

@boardingkid: it wouldn’t logically, because they did not accept the admission offers; it’d be interesting if it does…but I would get more antsy though; another thing to sigh about.

search! (sigh)
next day: search ! (sigh)

gogreenarch I applied to aap too! :S. I’m going to die soon if i don’t get the admission decision!

What major did you apply for?

@saad
I think that it’s only ILR and people who were accepted so far. I don’t think anybody has heard from CAS so we just need to wait patiently. I think we’re gonna start seeing acceptances first and rejections only later… probably towards the end of April/beginning of May.

With patience comes great rewards. In this case admission to CAS lol.

Has anyone started/ or completed their housing app?

i have no idea what to do with the housing… i dont no which places are good… where we are supposed to go… and i dont no ppl there and dont wana do random roomate so ya im screwed

Hello, I am also applying as a transfer student to CAS. My application has just been sent to review on Monday. I sent in my midterm report barely last week. I wish all of you the best of luck! From what I’ve read on this thread so far, no one who applied to CAS has been given a decision yet?

^
According to 45daysinrome, we will be receiving our granted admission or rejection in the mid-late April. Its nerve-racking but hold on!

damn, I hope I don’t need to constantly check out my mailbox and this thread soon… Why CAS is sooooooooo slow!? I envy you ILR guys

I know I asked this question already, but I’m asking again for clarification:

In what form will our decisions be sent out? E-mail? Mail? Status page?

@cornellaap I am an Architecture major applying to the B. Arch program… what about you?

You guys are lucky…I’m anticipating second week of May for my decision, which I guess is good. I’m still waiting on one more grade for my mid-term report (my econ teacher won’t sign it until we do our second test ***YO) and the completion of my TIPS and bartending certifications. BWAHHH. I kind of want them to hang on to my application until I send in all that stuff, haha.

@GodricGryffindor

Read on Cornell website somewhere (can’t find it for some reason now) that Transfers will receive their decision letters via U.S. Mail as opposed to Regular apps finding out via the Cornell Online Service.

As for all other information that will be received (aka housing placements, etc.), those will come via email from what I’ve read.

Hope that answered your question.

Okay, I know that everyone is hoping for an acceptance, obviously… but, I’m wondering if they start telling rejections at the same time as acceptances? Has anyone been rejected? (Sorry for the pessimism, haha).

Good luck to everyone!

I don’t believe anyone has heard anything about anything.

Heh. :D.

I watch this page religiously and I can tell you no one on here has posted anything about rejections yet. I think it’s kind of cruel…to make everyone watch all the acceptances come through, just to get their sad little “you suck” letter in the mail weeks later…boo

@chasethecarrot I wonder if they give out the rejections on a rolling basis as well… but it can be possible that those get rejected don’t want to post it here…

I cant believe I forgot to post the extracurricular activities in the Common App part. You can probably consider me the first to get rejected… :((((

I will send it first thing in the morning.

ILR Peeps!

If we end up going, we’ve gotta form a study group. We’ve gotta make a support group so that we can minimize transfer shock.

COOOOORNELL. Y U NO MADE OF CORN?
IVY LEAGUEEEEE. Y U NO MADE OF POISON IVY?

It’s 1:38am and I swear, I can’t find any more use of my time other than to spam about this frustration I’m having for not being in Ithaca. a;lskdjga;sldkgj

Combination of no sleep and an immense amount of impatience is one that mimics delirium and incoherency. Please disregard my post. BAHHHHH
