School Type: Private, non religious
Ethnicity: White
Gender: Male
Income Bracket: highest
Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): none

Reflection
Strengths: SAT, service, outside rec

[] Summer Activities: church camp, music workshops, camp volunteering, drum major camp, summer marching band.
[] Essays: My Common App essays were, in my opinion, strong but not stellar. I took creative spins on my essays for Cornell.
[] Teacher Recommendations: First was from my APUSH teacher, said I was the best student she’s ever had. For both of these teachers, I was the second student in their entire teaching career to score a 5 on their AP exam.

[] Essays (rating 1-10, details): 8 (I loved them but my style of writing may have been too ornate for college admissions)
[] Common App Essay: Started with a childhood memory of being on a swing and my love for nature and beauty, then went through my life in segments (moving to new places and learning new languages), the story of perseverance, remembering to see the beauty of life through every moment, then wrapped up with the childhood swing and my optimism for the future.

Sorry if this is already posted elsewhere, but what was the final acceptance rate for freshman admisssion for Fall 2014?

Fall 2014? The acceptance rate this year, Fall 2013 was 15.2%. I’m not sure what you mean by final, if that includes people accepted from waitlist or if it is the yield rate, the info isn’t available yet.
