<p>Question on financial aid and stuff: under "Gift Aid", is that amount guarenteed or is it just an estimation? I am kinda surprised to see that the amount is about 23k because I don't think I've applied to any scholarships yet.</p>

<p>Comparing the data posted here isn't really helpful for future applicants. Half of the "Stats" section doesn't matter, almost none of the "Location/Person" section does, and there is nothing "Subjective" about UCSD admissions.</p>
