Some people think it'll be on Friday, the 12th, as all EDs give it on the Friday before the 15th (unless the 15th is the Friday).

well on the website it says:

"December 13 Notification of decisions mailed to Early Decision applicants."

So I think the 12th, 5PM is solid because the 13th is a saturday.

when i called they said dec 15th

I think it's the 15th just cuz for me, things I want to come early always come last minute.

14 days
22 hours
3 seconds
just keeping it going!!
( this is for the online posting on the 13th)

Um I think the 15th will be the day that it gets to us through mail...
But yeah, a lot of people have told me it's always on a Friday.
It makes more sense for them to send it on a Friday too...because who wants to deal with a possible rejection on a Monday? That would be a week of torture.
Plus, acceptances on a Friday mean more time to celebraaate over the weekend!

I don't know.
I'm just really hoping it's on the 12th

I heard the decisions will be posted online on the 13th but they wont be sent in the mail till the 15th

No, they're mailed on the 13th so they arrive at your house on the 15th. And I'm pretty sure they're emailed on the 15th too.

i feel like i'm waiting for a death sentence. haha i hope i get in!!! good luck to everyone here

Date is 12/15

...im not even applying ED and i can feel the tension

Well I know they have already done a good amount of the decisions because Penn called my school and was like "we need her senior grades" but I'm on trimesters so my grades don't come out until Monday, and the school said they could priority mail them by Monday but the admissions people said that was too late because my last name starts with a C and they would be well into the C's by then and couldn't judge me without senior grades.

Basically Penn will know this week if I'm accepted or not.

are u serious??? i thought they would wait for midyear reports if the applicant is deferred...................and midyear reports and the first two markin periods at my school...oh i'm screwed

no calm down, penn doesn't ask everyone's senior year grades. but omg...what? I didn't even know that they started reading. i don't even know if they have everything from me yet!

gee who do they ask for senior yr grades then? the borderline people?

soysauce, ur MyPenn says they still have not received everything yet? they take an awfully long time to update though. u'll be fine.

i have no idea what they'r doing w/my Art supplement, and extra rec letter, or better...if they have even received them.........they're all like sent piece by piece. and everytime i email penn about it, they'r always like, 'check MyPenn and don't resend anything unless we tell u to'. but the problem is - MyPenn doesn't update anything like Arts supp or extra documents like recs

Well yournamehere, with your transcript they probably at least got your quarter grades but for me they literally had no signs of my senior yr except what classes I was taking. Maybe the lady my college counselor was talking to was just extra spastic, but i don't know I think it makes sense. I mean they had all of my stuff except my senior grades so maybe they are just going by who has the most done or something down the alphabet. All I know is they legit are making a decision (which could be a deferral) on me very very very soon. Which not going to lie, is driving me nuts.

yeah, i have the same problem. they received everything that's required, but i have no way of knowing whether they received my extra rec letter. i called and emailed penn about it too, the just say to check MyPenn. i heard that MyPenn does update extra docs for some people. I thought about sending an art supplement, but i didn't have enough pieces. for your art, what form did you send it by? slides or actual work?

my arts supp is instrumental. so i sent them a CD by mail. the required instructor rec was sent along w/everything else from my school's guidance department. and then i had to fax the resume to Penn b/c i chose the wrong option on commonapp, so it ended up not going through to Penn.
it's kinda messy. i don't know how they'r processing everything and the Penn ppl kept telling me to check MyPenn even though it doesn't update stuff like that.

but still, the one thing i'm most worried about is my SAT IIs -- 800 and 630........doesn't look good at all. i know i'll be nagging about that till decisions come out. yay or nay.

Well I don't know if all ivys work the same way but apparently Yale always mails their decisions out on a Friday before the 15th (unless the 15th is a Friday).

Whatever the case, I really hope it's not on the 15th (my birthday). (Sigh)
And I really wish that MyPenn portal would start updating everything because it's been more than a month since I've submitted my app and they are still missing 1 teacher rec.
