Don't listen to Kerron, Elizabeth. With what I've seen of your personality on this board, you'll be insanely great in whatever you do and wherever you go.

I'm a little worried that Kelsey/Journogirl hasn't been to the board. =

my condolences to some of you. to the accepted, congrats! see ya next fall :-).

JulianS,

It was a good guess...

Okay no, I lied. In my pre-decision frenzy, I came across a message board site I know don't even remember the name of (these last couple weeks have sorta been a blur...) and noticed you said you had been reading a lot of Hesse lately, and recognized your user name. Sounds stalkerish, I know, but I am a very big Hesse fan, and I don't know many other people who read him. So yeah, nice taste. Oh and congratulations, future classmate haha.

Ya, I hope everything is all right with Journogirl...(and willywonka, eh, I'm an '08 so I'm good :). But thanks for being worried anyway. )

Haha, no, her name is Kelsey also! :)

Ohhh, that makes sense. Weird! She's like my internet twin. And I was heavily involved w/journalism in hs too. I really hope she got in.

Sorry, I'm here.

Got deferred.

Oh,

I am soo sorry to hear this. You are down for the moment but definitley not out.

LOL, I hope you guys didn't think I committed suicide or anything.

Yeah, I kind of saw it coming. I think they wanna see how I handle first semester, see how things end up. I'm sort of planning my Deferee from Hell campaign.

Good luck to everyone who got in. Elizabeth, I'm extremely, extremely sorry. It's their loss entirely.

Keep your chin high, journo, work on your other apps, then launch the antideferral campaign, ace those finals.

Glad you're back, journogirl...and best of luck in the RD round.

Oh yeah. I studied my BUTT off for my Calculus final and last test.

I'm at a 4.6-ish right down with A's in only three honors classes before this. This semester I have the chance to make A's in 4-5. My rank/GPA should go through the roof. My newspaper also hauled off its first national award with me at the helm, and I received the Dartmouth Book Award (me out of 500 seniors), neither of which went on my application. I've got other stuff coming up, and Academic Decathlon state competition in January. I've got plenty of ammo.

I'm writing a case letter, having my Gifted teacher write a letter (not so much a laundry list rec as a LETTER for me), and having my GC say why I wasn't able to take senior science and all that. I signed up for Physics H and AP Chem and couldn't do either of them.

I had all my other apps ready to roll. They're all done. Now I can focus. It'll just mean that getting in will feel all the more sweeter because I had to fight like hell for it.

wow...best of luck

i agree with mr. wonka

Don't give it up, Kelsey. Fight till the end and show them how much you deserve to be there.

I wrote a peer rec for one of my friends and he told me on Friday that he got in! Hopefully I'll be as lucky as he was for my RD app. I shouldn't say lucky... he completely deserved admission.

And journogirl, keep on fighting the fight. From reading what you wrote, I have no doubt in my mind that when you're through with those admissions officers, they'd have to be ignorant to reject somebody who wants it that bad and is as qualified as you are. Stay focused, don't fret, and I'm sure you'll be in when the letters are mailed in April.

Kerron case closed.

TO ALL THE REJECTS:
I am positive that you will suceed in life your all real smart. SCREW DARTMOUTH if they dont want you.

You're hopeless. Go away.
