Official Dartmouth Fall 2010 Transfer Thread.

Show your love for the big D!

I'm a freshman applying for sophomore standing. I'm also an international from Egypt.

Let's get to talking! The 3-5% acceptance rate makes for a morose mood, though.

CC is being weird. Apparently, two threads were made. lol

super nervous…does late april mean in the 20’s or more like may 1?

Oh sweet! It does say late april as the decision date… Hopefully its in the 20s

Late april? I thought it was mid-may.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

dartmouth I love, please take me.

last year dartmouth released on May 7th if im not mistaken??? I saw that posted somewhere.

May 7th? hmmm.

Majors? Econ here.

According to the Common Data Set for the last few years, they’ve released decisions on/around April 25 EXCEPT last year, when it says May 15 on the CDS (however, according to above posts it was May 7). Last year, they had about 100 more applications than any other year, so I’m guessing the increase in apps was responsible for the later reply date.

Therefore, we can probably except to get them around April 25.

This is all conjecture, but the Dartmouth CDS is available online for those interested :)

ahhhhhhh… I both love and hate the feeling I get in my stomach when I’m checking a decision!

I might be able to empathize with that if I have a decision to check :frowning: Since I live in a diagrammatically opposite time zone, all my dreams consist of e-mails and decisions and bad internet. LOL. Coming back on track, my major is Econ too. International from India.

I’m an international, too. Egypt.

I have always wanted to see Egypt. Love its history :D

^You should come visit! Yes, I, too, find our history to be rather fascinating.

If only I were rich enough
And looks like last year’s decision date was announced because people counted down to the date in the transfer thread. And yes it was May 7th.

Think it’s too late for me to send a mid-term grade report?

It’s never too late for anything. Go on give it a shot.

What are we supposed to do about the top portion of the mid-term grade report form where they ask us if we’ve waived our right to access the report? It is even possible to get your professors to sign this form without looking at it and taking it from professor to professor?

Yes, it is possible. The actual procedure is where you fill in your part of the application and give the forms to your professors with stamped envelopes. They fill it out and send it to the respective colleges. But, we know that it hardly ever happens, because we are the ones who need to move our sorry asses from prof to prof and get the things signed. :)

So do I just check off that I waive access, sign it, make copies, and send it off? Wouldn’t that be lying though? Aren’t colleges are very specific about rejecting applicants who lie on any part of their application?
