Sempitern555 ,
Sorry to hear about the decision, but after all of the Dartmouth v. Duke threads, you are going to have an amazing time in NC. We know you will hook a few friends up on some basketball tickets.

* Congratulations,on Duke. Go blue Devils!!*

J,

What can I say that I haven't already said to you.

* Congratulations, j on your official Dartmouth admissions *

Enjoy the moment, have a great time at Dimensions.

* Congratulations, Koyne*

Remember Dartmouth is building a class so they thing that you have something to offer to the class of 09. Don't worry about the stats thing because you'll never be sked that question again (atleast not in Hanover).

The door is open, walk through head held high. There's a seat waiting for at the table, the choice to take it and keep it is all up to you and you will be able to pull it off. Go to Dimensions, take it in all Dartmouth has to offer because there is really no other place like it.

All the best

* Congratulations to usrdad and Daughter*

You must be so proud. There are a lot of people from NY in Hanover. Parent to parent she will have the most amazing 4 years of her life. If I can answer any questions from a parent's perspective please feel free to send me a PM

Oh my Calidan,

i have been waiting on you all day finger crossed and hoping that you would be part of the class of 09 at Dartmouth. Sometimes, you really just don't understand the admissions process because like Xan, I cluld definitely see you in the class of 09. (You are right, you can always transfer next year)

Gerorgetown is a wonderful place, just remember us when you become a big time mover and shaker in D.C. We will always have snow days and writing in color . No matter what happens, we will always have love for ya

so this one is for you...

Congratulations ! * Calidan on your Georgetown acceptance. Go Hoyas!!!*

Welcome to CC and the Dartmouth board.

Damn, I knew I was gonna screw that up...oh well, whatever, I'm happy to finally be posting...I've been stalking this website for about a week now since I found out about it, but have been too afraid to post until decisions were up...now, however, I'm more than happy to chat with you people who will be joining me in Hanover next Fall! Attending Dartmouth has been a dream of mine since I started looking at schools a year and a half ago; I really feel that it is the perfect school! I can't wait to see you all at Dimensions in a few weeks! And to those of you who weren't accepted, I'm sure you'll be fine wherever you end up, and if you're not, you can always transfer...best of luck to everyone, and Congratulations!

GhaleonQ, Congrats...representing the moderate view at Dartmouth!

Subjective:
Essays: pretty good

ECs: No cancer research or anything, but I had several strong ECs nonetheless.
School Rec: Good

[ul]
[] State or Country: Kentucky
[] School Type: Public
[] Major strength/weakness: (S)--Leadership, initative, writing; (W)--Stats
[] Why you think you were accepted/rejected/waitlisted: Basically, I think my decision came down to one overall factor: I'm from Nowheresville, Kentucky. The benefit here was twofold; first, it aided me in the area of geographic diversity, and second, it shows that I really push myself. The main "hook" that I pushed in my application was my drive to go "above and beyond. My school hasn't sent anyone to an upper-tier institution for at least a decade and a half, according to my school administrators. Actually, they think the last person to do so was my English teacher, who matriculated to Northwestern University in 1974.

[/ul]
Other Factors : No clue. Something must have looked good, because statistics wise, I'm not as qualified as some people who were waitlisted or rejected.

Peace and Passion,

Brice

* Congratulations, Brice*

I hope that you have a wonderful time in Hanover. I hope you have started a new tradition at your high school.
