I know! There is much more to NY than just the city. I live in a more suburban area of New York and I really don’t like urban areas. I mean visiting the city is great, but I could never live there. I love rural areas too, kind of why I like Dartmouth. =]

YES. I’m off.

Massive chat at what time? I’ll probably be out building some sort of igloo/snow contraption in the early afternoon, but anything else should work!

Did I mention I play tennis?

Haha, woo! Congratulations… of sorts. Sorry, that sounds weird, but you know what I mean. =P

I have swim practice from eight until eleven, but I will be around any time after that, so I’ll be checking the thread for updates. Whatever works for everyone is good from me.

I used to snowboard until I broke my arm. It was so fun… one snow day, my friend and I built a ramp out of ice and snow over five hours. Sadly, it only ended up being four feet tall, but it was still soooooo cool. And fun to ride down!

How about 3? Then most people should be around!

I’m up for that. Anyone else?

Is there a chat feature on CC, or are we tryna use facebook?

Hmmmm… not sure. I just figured we’d post back and forth in the thread. Whatever is preferred works, though. :)

Edit: Oh, and just to make sure, I assume we’re talking 3 EST?

Off to bed. Goodnight, all!

Haha, I guess we’ll see if anyone else turns up wanting to talk. If it’s just you and I, then we’d probably just be clogging the thread =P

Sounds good to me. Until then, have a good snow day! :D

You too, and check your messages!

Super cool snowday chat party time! Wooooooooooooooo!

so I just started using this site… kinda like it =] I have wanted to go to Dartmouth since can remember and I have been visiting the college since my sophomore year. Yes I know that a little lame… My favorite color is GREEN what a surprise. Oh yea I live in Maine, so why am I staying in the cold? no idea. I ski so maybe thats why, but I love horses too. I sing show tunes all the time because I have done musical theater for forever. School band, yay flute section. Hopefully see you guys in the fall, and can’t wait till spring =]

Yes…tomorrow off too! Anyone else tryna join the party?

Wooh party? Idk haha, I definitely don’t have off tomorrow, but I get on here at night for a lil while lol =p

Welcome, dallas!

We can have a “party” tomorrow too, although I have to do some app work so I might not be as active. I’ll probably be scouring the thread at various hours of the day though so if we’re chatting non-time-specific, that works.

Hiya everyone! I’ve been floating around these boards for a while but haven’t ever actually written something so here I go…as you can probs tell from my username, I’m from Australia, and i’ve applied to dartmouth RD. I’m a total band/orchestra geek (I play the viola) but I’m also into sports like softball, basketball, field hockey and touch football. I love everything about dartmouth…even the weather- it’s a bit of a difference from sunny old Sydney!

So I hope to get to know some of you while we wait through the long months to April! Good luck with the apps and hopefully we will see each other in september :)

Ahhhh Australia! I’m pretty familiar with your area…although you’d have to look over the Tasman to see me-a lot of my family lives in New Zealand! Go All Blacks! =P

Sike, I really don’t know anything about rugby, but welcome to our little Dartmouth fan club!

Another RDer to Dartmouth

Hi everyone!

Welcome, Aussie and sarbaraj! Nice to meet both of you. :)

Sorry for not being here much, guys. Turns out I was busier today than I thought…
I’ll probably be on more once I get my obligations out of the way, though. In the meantime, this is exciting! I’m glad we’re attracting more RDers.

hey everyone! i’m applying RD.

this thread is livelier than the other RD 2014 threads on CC…you all’s enthusiasm makes me love dmouth even more!!
