Welcome wg! wow, lots of people applying to dartmouth. hopefully we’ll all get in haha

Haha…I love how we’re all so into it! Hopefully we don’t attract too many people, cause that just creates competition. I guess it’s creating a happy medium between being exuberant about the school, but not TOO exuberant haha

Hahah yes, let’s not be TOO gung-ho about it. Just enough to get a lil spark =p

And yeah welcome all RD-ers, Dartmouth rules.

Oh here’s a question… what’s your intended major?

I’m a prospective psychology major =]

Welcome wg!

Haha, I’ve also been wary to get TOO excited simply because it’s never a good idea to attach yourself too much to something which is so unsure. While I’d certainly love to go to Dartmouth, there’s the small matter of getting in first, hahaha. But I think a bit of excitement and a lot of cool people like yourselves certainly can’t hurt and will help pass the time. :)

I am a prospective physics major, and will likely minor in either math or computer science.

The word physics just makes my head hurt. Just spelling it is enough for me. And yeah I agree Weezer. I mean I love the school and all and it’s definitely one of my favourites but, the chances of getting in are so low that I don’t wanna get my hopes up too much for an uncertainity!

Another prospective Ohioan here. Where in Ohio are you from, Weezer?

And I chose engineering as my intended major, but I seriously have no clue where I’ll end up. At this point I’m keeping my excitement level pretty low. I mean, we still have a whole three months to go =[ It’s hard, though. My Latin teacher went to Dartmouth, so it’s nearly every day that we get him to tell stories from back in the day in Hanover. Great class…

I’m applying to Dartmouth RD too hehe
got deferred by yale(which really really sucks)
but i really really like dartmouth hehe

im a prospective psychology and linguistics major
maybe biology…because dmouth is fantastic in biology, i think

Welcome, everyone!

Hi folks,
I applied to Dartmouth RD as well. I am interested in Engineering. I own a small electronics kit business. I recently won an international competition for open source innovation. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Dartmouth, so I really hope I get in.

i put in my application in before Yale EA, and i haven’t committed yet, so why not join in on the fun?

i’m a prospective English major. i haven’t visited campus, but i really like what i hear about Dartmouth’s creative writing. and i don’t think i’ll mind the isolation (am used to small town).

hanover isnt THAT isolated
i used to live in memphis, tn (i’m there for the holidays) and now i find it overwhelming…and kinda missing hanover

yeah, i hear it’s a cute college town.

I’ve been following this thread for a couple days now, so I figured I should finally post soemthing.

Another RDer, love to row, probably looking to major in the humanities (English, history, or philosophy), although environmental science is a possibility. What can I say, I have diverse interests. Love the idea of being in a non-urban area

Just sent in my application!
I love Dartmouth all the more for having such an easy supplement :)

^^

me too :D

I’m dreaming of an acceptance,
Just like those ED-ers got,
Where the peer recs glisten
And seniors listen
To hear “you’ve got the spot.”

I’m dreaming of an acceptance,
With every long essay I write.
You guys are really kinda bright!
Happy holidays to all on this site!

-Wahoooooooooooo =]

Beautiful, greyoranges. Just beautiful. Happy holidays, all!

Also, welcome to thickfreakness, cdld, loppyfoot, tres elefantes, rownathan, and abcderinkay! Wow, we’re growing fast. I like this. :)

Thickfreakness, I am from the northeast area. And you?

How about a little haiku?

College applicant.
I want some nice hot chocolate.
Gosh-darned Common App.

Or even,

Dartmouth acceptance
Yes, I long for you dearly
See you in August!
