Official Dec 2012 MATH thread

n.59 -18 was A or E?

was A. -18

-18 was A

10char

Omg. I think I put +18. Shoots himself

The sum of angle toward the end was 45 (180-45-90 = 45)

what was the one about the circumscribed triangle and what choice was 2080 because i picked the second from the bottom?

Oh yeah I didn’t know what circumscribed meant haha i guessed on that one

anybody #60? which letter?

2080 was last choice and circumscribed was (4,3) i plugged the points into the distance formula and 4,3 is same distance away from 0,6 and 8,0 since those are both points on the circle; got a lucky first plug in tho

Circumscribed one was like (3,4) or (4,3) or something.
Just find the midpoint of the segment.

Orange, you mean the one to find K?
You had to multiply the bottom equation by 3 and set the answer from equation 1 equal to the k*answer of the equation 2. The answer was negative something.

I think I guessed (4,3) omg that’s like the 7th one i guessed correctly on the test I’m so happy

That’s definitely right… but queston: does anyone remember what the other answer choices were? Or does anyone remember what answer that was? J?

what were the other 3?

-9 for the k one

what about the dots one

eniwaye go to page 2 and i have the explanation for the dots one

i missed a few, not sure what i got on that two angle question…what did you guys get for the ellipse question?

I guessed on the dots question and chose the second to last answer. was that the 2080 answer or not? does anyone remember?

what about the one that was something like I is k/(d^2)?

Ellipse: (x-8)^2/16 + (y-4)^2/4 = 1

nivers, yes
