Breaking out of the mold was that they didn’t write in their native languages.
What did all the authors have in common was that they spent a lot of time away from their homeland.

I’m almost positive on these ones.

That’s what I put

Linz25, me too.

Anyone remember the name I the Chinese author and also the name of his book

Hold on a second.
The breaking out of the mold question had short answers (Ex: Native Language, Different Language)…

Which one was it? Different Language?

For the last question on that, it was Not similar right?
I think I put Not similar because of… Can’t remember the 2nd part of the answer.

Does anyone know if there were a lot of A’s near the end of reading because I guessed on like 8 on the last passage and put A for them.

Can someone please give me the name of the Chinese author and his book? I’m trying to find the article online

Not certain, but I believe the author was Ha Jin and his book was called A Free Life.

The answer was different languages.
What about the reviewr one?
What was the answer to that?

Thanks! I found the article. As it turns out, the authors listed wrote in their native tongues, yet they all lived away from their homeland

the characteristic that all mangroves had was the answer having to do with filtration.

Which number asked about the similarities between all mangroves?
(I’m starting to think that I might’ve skipped one and put the next one in that… -_-)

YES! that question was asking what Jin and those authors SHARED, and it was that they all lived away from their homeland for some time. Right? RIGHT!?!

@efeens44, Yeah. That one is right. I’m pretty sure that that choice was the answer.

what was the answer to the question with similar and not similar?

habadaabada, Elaborate on the question please?

The reviewr wrote a statement.

The qustion asked whether the statement was similar to author’s attement or not or something like that.

no it was dissimilar because the author of the passage said there was no narrative or something like that while the reviewer praised the narrative.

by narrative i meant no literary elements, or something. i forget. but it was dissimilar for sure and the reason had to do with literary structure or something

It was similar bc both the reviewer and the author said that the emotions were understated.
