Hi there! This will be my second SAT. Scored a 1980 on the October one.
Hoping to raise my CR score from a 660 to at least a 700. I’m using practice tests out of the blue book, and I’m studying vocab words from the list in Up Your Score 2013 edition. CR was rough for me on the October test, usually I score 700+ on CR practice tests, so I’ll be doing lots of CR practice.
Got a 600 on math, hoping to raise to a 620. Using math in the Barron’s SAT book. I also have worksheets from the SAT prep class I took over the summer that I’ll be using to study. I’m not a math person so raising the score will be difficult for me. I was surprised I’d scored a 600. Going to be working hard on math, too.
My writing score (720) was pretty okay, but my essay (an 8, not really sure how that happened) killed my score.I only missed 2 questions MC on writing, and I would’ve done much better with an essay score of 10+. Never gotten below a 9 on the essay before on practice tests (other people graded it), which was surprising for me.

Going for the final 240 point jump. I got a 2160 last time: 760 CR but only 680 M. I can’t wait to destroy this test.

Last test I got 800 CR, 590 math and 720 writing. This test I’m hoping to raise math and writing up to 800s. I get a lot of test anxiety with math, so I’m trying to drill math problems until they become second nature to me lol

@Mystic7 Wanna trade CR and Math scores? lol I would go into a state of shock if I ever got an 800 on CR.

Sure. I would go into a state of shock if I got 800 in math haha

I’m trying not to worry about this next one and not really prepare too much. I might take one or two practice tests but just to keep fresh.

Last time I took the SAT was in June. This is gonna be my last one. Hoping for 2300+

@icepierre probably the best strategy :)

I’ve had a fever for the past two days, so not much studying got done :(

On a practice test yesterday, I got 790 CR, 760 Writing, and a 660 Math. I usually get around a 740-760 in reading, so this might be an anomaly.

Anyways, I feel well about reading and writing, but I’m going to work hard on getting math up to a 700+…

The kind of funny thing is that I’m starting to genuinely enjoy and look forward to taking practice tests…

@IBNick‌ I know the feeling lol. It’s kind of sad… Here’s a tip: if you want to boost your math score, get the PWN The SAT book. I couldn’t recommend it more. Then take a look at the blog with the same name. Great drills and resources there. @Mystic7‌ feel better! We’ll feel so free once this is all over! We must be nuts taking the SAT still in December lol

Hoping for a 2300+. I got a 2210 last time.

Any tips on improving Writing section? My last practice test, I had 790 for Math (should get 800 usually), and 800 for Reading (bit of an anomaly, but I am improving in Reading). Writing is consistently at around a 700.

Good luck, everyone!

Hoping for a 2250+, best case scenario 2300. My scores have been kinda all over the place on practice tests…Usually 720-770 Reading, 770-800 math (one time I got 680 though…and then the test after I got 800!) and around 740-770 on Writing. Good luck everyone!

My fever finally broke and I’m back to work
All I’m doing at this point is math and the essay. I’m not gonna let myself be concerned about CR.

I just hope this time math is NOT my first section. That was awful D:

I’m watching people solve SAT math problems and I feel so hopeless lol
I’m not good at finding shortcuts for the problems. I just go straight for old fashioned algebra and then end up wasting time. I love the plain algebra questions, but cut up triangles and folded squares terrify me :)

that’s okay do hard work for the next time and best of luck

By the way guys, PWN the SAT math guide third edition is on sale for 2 dollars on Google Play.

Hey do u guys know if I answer 2/3 as the decimal .666 that it will be marked wrong?

They’ll take either form^

Latest practice results: 790M, 800CR, and 770W. Hope I do this well on the actual.
