Official Dec 2nd Sat Thread

Lol I really have to read more carefully... =(
Thanks smith =)

me too man after reading some of these posts im realizing i got a few wrong that i wasnt even doubting

for some reason the one with 60% population and 20 % land area was bothering me...

anyone?...the answers were something like 100, 200, 300, 600

(.6/.2)*100 = 300

Dumb one i got 51 also.

sorry if this is a stupid post... but what did u guys get for that one math question (it was the last one in one of the sections) that was like 17 can be a median how many times? i put all three but it was wayyy to easy so i know i did something wrong, but it makes sense cuz u can have 14 17's and 1 20 and 17 would still be the median

did anyone have a test with an extra math section? if so which one do you think was the experimental one? i felt like the last math section (with the 60% population 20% land) was noticeably harder than the other math sections but that could have been because i was BRAIN DEAD @_@

okay so to be more specific
i have the worst memory but uhh
i remember having an extra math section but i don't remember having 2 grid-in sections. my passages for CR had to do with
a man and his daughter who's about to get married and his family ignores him
wildlife preservation

my extra section was math too, but it wasnt grid in! one of them i found ridicuoulsy easy and the other one was so-so (kinda hard cuz it was like well into the test and i was already getting burned out) and i dunno, i thought the grid in section was pretty tough.... but meeae it sounds like we got the same CR passages

for ur guys' grid in, did anybody have a problem like if u have a triangle on a coo. plane with points (0, 2b) (a,b) and (0,0) what the area of the triangle was? whatd u guys get

lemon the answer was ab

hey meeae i had the same thing as you.

do you remember which section was the experimental section? we had 4 CR sections and I dont quite know which one it is.

Essay

Reading (includes two long passages)

Equating (the one that doesn't count toward your score)

Math (includes SPR questions)

Reading

Math

Writing

Reading

Math

Writing

The equating was the second reading section. Do you remember what passages were in it?

did anyone have a test with an extra math section? if so which one do you think was the experimental one? i felt like the last math section (with the 60% population 20% land) was noticeably harder than the other math sections but that could have been because i was BRAIN DEAD @_@

Ya Meeae I had same as you. and George Yang89 I had

Essay
CR
CR <------George yang how do you know thats equating?
Math
CR
Writing
math
CR
Math
Writing

George yang I think what you typed was November's test

Meeae I also had same passages for CR had to do with
a man and his daughter who's about to get married and his family ignores him
wildlife preservation

lemon Pop I got ab also!

well the thing is, everything on the website (go ahead and check the thing yourself, just log onto your online account) says "equating" for what I think is what we refer to as the "experimental". that was the only one that fit my test, so i assumed that the 2nd CR was the experimental.

What was in the 2nd CR?

okay nevermind it is the november

how embarressing =x

wow am i being stupid??
how come i dont remember having two CR in a row..
for some reason i remember having an extra math section that seemed a lot harder than the other math sections...
i DO remmeber having 2 long passages for the first CR section i did
i think my test was

25 essay
25 math
25 cr <-- 2 long readings
25 math
25 cr
25 writing
25 math <-- noticeably harder math section
20 cr
20 math
10 writing

okay maybe i AM going crazy..
i also remember having PRATTLE as one of the sentence completion answers
anywways my questions was if anyone else had the same test as i did.. and if anyone else thought there was one math section that was significantly harder than the rest. i think i might be making up my own data though because no one seems to have had the same test.. :(

yeah i had something like that, only mine was

essay
cr <--- i remember saying to myself this was gay cause it was first
cr <--- i was like "*** college board, 2 in a row?"
math <-- finally, a math
cr <---...thats it. go die in a fire CB
writing
math <---- noticeable harder (i lost count and thought this was the experimental and omitted one. =[)
cr
math
writing

Yea george i think that was my order.

and i was also thinking the same as you were xD

how is college board going to hit us with 3 critical readings in a row....then start of the math with amelias younger then this guy and hes younger then him and her but older then her whose older then him but younger then her

it was an easy question but after coming off 3 ridiculous CR's my brai was a little fried

who is organzing these damn tests anyway

helllooo
well ok for all the people who had my sat test...
with the boy getting lost in the department store,.. morse code... (i dont remember any more)

do you know which section is the equating one for that test?

Last year I took the SAT as a Sophomore at this same date, and I got an 1800. Is this a good score for a sophomore, becuase I'm worried I might not do well this year, even though I got a 208 on my PSAT.

meea,

I had definitely had the exact same test as you, section order and everything. And yes, that one math section definitely seemed harder than the others...
