i got a 760 math, kings16.

Mannn.... I got lower on both sections than I've gotten on virtually every practice test I've taken...

V730
M680
1410

Oh well... it was my first time anyway... I'll retake in January and, if needed, I'll sit for the new SATs...

690 V
660 M
1350 total

So I'm a Jr, and in AP Calc AB...how do i get a 660 in math?

Oh boy can't wait til january 22

why? easy. the sat doesn't test intelligence- just how well you take the sat. it's pretty much math that simply deals with logic.

golfshots82, a jr. in ap calc ab is not a significant achievement. it's actually the middle lane at my public high school. sat attempts to measure critical thinking and does a pretty good job at it... but if you're really hot stuff in math, you should be able to ace the iic. keep in mind this is coming from a guy with a 780(math) on the I and an 800 on the IIc but a 3.17gpa in math-related classes, lol.

hey.. im new here.. ive been browsing for so long but i had a good day so im posting.. Im an indian soph from texas.. 1600..

Congrats, Lakerdude!

i hate verbal with a passion... and 670M which is well under what i was expecting... ;(

710 M, 730 V. Hmmm, down 10 points on verbal, stayed the same on math, and I could have sworn it was going to be a solid 1500. Something tells me that I'm going with my ACT score! I thought I was going to get an 800 Verbal; I don't think I missed any analogies, and I missed 4 last time.

1540 (m: 780, V: 760)

Yea the verbal I checked with all of you and I didn't seem to miss any of the analogies or sentence completion, I really don't think I missed enough critical reading to get a 660.

Also, I don't think people who score well on the SAT, but not in school should be proud of themselves. It just means you don't work hard enough in school. What will make the colleges think that you will work hard in their college unless you work hard in high school?

People with 800 on v, how many do you think you missed?

I got an 800, and I think I missed 3. Maybe not, though.

haha sup thedesiboy, you got the exact same score as me with the exact same break down.

as for you, aseemo:

sat iis are achivement tests. i wasn't born knowing proper sentence structure. i wasn't born knowing how to find definite integrals or whatever is tested on the 2c. i learned how by payings lot of attention in class and doing practice problems on my own to study. i worked, give me a break. instead of doing the homework assigned, usually tedious, i would just study and do my own practice problems to make sure i knew the material. then i went on to kick *** on the tests. i dont need the teacher holding my hand. i had a 3.167 in math classes and an 800 on the IIC.

the same goes for sat. i dedicated a lot of time to reading [vocab++], to learning to write well in english [critical reading++], and writing up thoughtful chem lab reports which emphasize critical thinking[enter sat++]. all of this is tested on the sat.

so all in all i have a 780/760, an 800/780/710 (spanish, not my native lang) and a 3.3. i got a c+/b in ap us history because i refused to do the busywork but got a 5 on the ap because i know my us history and know how to think critically about trends.

congratulations, you have a great capacity for doing busywork. i salute you. enjoy a soul-sucking corporate job. i bet you have traditional ecs as well. i, on the other hand, am independent in both my academic and non-academic doings. for example, i've already started a successful business.

we'll see who gets in where.

1300 composite

720 Verbal
580 Math

should've gotten an 800 in verbal...

770 Writing, 740 Physics (what a waste b/c i had already gotten into college)

AP Calc AB as a junior is the middle lane? I'm in the highest "lane" possible at my school and I'm not in Calc.

SAT scores:
780 Math
760 Verbal
1540 Total

1400 (740 v 660 m) not too good...but hopefully good enough

So_Delirious,
Yea i know its possible to be in higher math as a jr than i am...but at my school, there aren't any jrs beyond calc AB...what I'm really trying to say is that the SAT 1 math is not a really true test of math aptitude, seeing as i have friends in trig level 2 that score better than i do on the math...as u advance in math, u tend to realize that u can't always jump right into a problem and find the answer right away...so basically i think too hard on the math section and just make it harder than it is...
oh well, excuses suck, i should have been able to do nearly every problem...so 'll just not think so hard in January.

1540

800M
740V (how many wrong is that?)

highest score I've ever gotten on a real test

latin 740...at first I was totally overconfident, but then i thought I'd score in low-600s, so this is a relief.
