Official Dec Test (CR-Shakespeare, Autobiography-brother Dennis)

blubberxyz: in the passage the author states that scientists, instead of being critical of their own theories, tend to support their theories too strongly. Instead of helping their theories, this weakens it because their colleagues are keen to spot the errors. I am about 85% sure it was counterproductive.

@andrea: annoyed?? huuuuuhhh?

i put unable to be measured by the laws of physical science

thnx jsw1188

yeah seahwang is right. i am completely sure it was counterproductive.

was an answer for this passage “give an example”?

and i put unable to be measured by the laws of physical science too.

your latter answer, llewis (is not observable in the physical environment…).

the author mentions NOTHIng but the theories being acceptible to tests in the future. What would be the maximum amount of wrong questions, assuming I ommitted 3, for me to get a 700. I am really freaking out.

I remember that was answer to one of the passages, not sure which one though.

the specific lines that this question was asking about talked about how some scientists cheered on their own product or theory. this annoyed other scientists. so it was counterproductive to the scientist to talk positively about his own stuff.

Andrea, I put the same thing! I LOVE science passage. I must have nailed that one.

I thought I completely bombed my CR also, since I got a leg cramp right in the middle of the section. But apparently I maybe got around 2-3 wrong so far :)

lewis u do? what school do u go to?

anyone remember the author winning the book award question?

something about his 1972 book is highly renowned, won a award for his other book?

i am sure this is correct. that is what the author was talking about. he never talked about the future.

andreaaaaaa, kudos man/girl, kudos…

i found out i only missed FIVE!!!..and ommitted 3. potential score with high curve assuming that people’s opinion about CR in CC forums (bad/hard/omg) constitutes the opinions of everyone in the world.

i put no error. i think that was a writing question about bless me ultima.

@watson: argh, I wish I <3d it. unfortunately I didn’t… =[

I got to a private all guys school, but I might have known u have grade school

yes, no error for the “bless me, ultima” one.

score prediction for 6 wrong??

anyone think that’ll be 700+?

i had 7 wrong in oct for a 720. so yeah i bet it will be.

i don’t think so…i don’t no any1 who goes to an all guys school n if ur name is realli llewis im not sure i no any1 named lewis…unless ur in my chem class but tats not possible

hey does anyone know the answer to the governess one which had one of the answer choices

“she was apprecitave of the opportunities it brought?”

assuming i get this wrong, what does 3/4 wrong on Cr, 1 wrong, and assuming i screwed up on the lion question, 1 wrong on writing land me?
