Official Dec Test (CR-Shakespeare, Autobiography-brother Dennis)

Why wasn’t the passage about the astrologist observing the sky about “discovering nature,” i didn’t see how it was “self expression”…

hmm… that sounds familiar. did you have 4 cr’s?

“As far as dennis = one paragraph: evocative.”

Does anyone remember any other answer choices for this question?

For the photohraphy question, was it “recommending an approach”? or “identifying a common mistake”? I put the former, but I wasn’t sure.

i put approach

I put approach too.

It’s expression because he talked about: putting some of yourself in there so that you just don’t get a picture of the sky but something else too.

i am freaking out now- i don’t remember any of the pasages u guys are talking abbout- i had a pasage on walt disney and one on the nigerian girl making fun of her culture and one on the machine intelligence -
did anyone have those???

What’s the answer to the one about Dennis, and the chicken event. Was it kids causing trouble or an example of a moment? I put kids causing trouble because he said that the house was like a circus and zoo, which means that it’s always riotous and that wouldn’t be the only example. Unless it was just an example and not the only example.

Did you take SAT1s or SAT2s lit?

Or maybe it’s some test I don’t know about.

oh i realise there’s an international thread and they r discussing the same passages as i am-
funny though- when i gave in october everyone got the same paper

glueeater, it was riotous.

What are the choices for the dennis one?

Great Work Echelon32!

I just remembered a question from the Governess passage that no has mentioned:

Which of the following would be most analogous to the Governess’ reaction to Edward’s magic?

I put movie goers are at first entranced by special effects but then become used to them.

Do anyone remember this question?

andreaaaaaa - do you remember which passage had the “high” question?

Also here are the answers for the section that you came up with a mnemonic aid:

Insightful .. recognize
Extinction
Meticulous
Innoculous
Spurred .. redress
Trusting .. Naive

wheres the cumulative list i dont remember what page it was on ..echelon?

Page 12, I think andrea said shes compiling a list, so if someone wouldnt mind bumping up mine and updating it lol, im too lazy to do that right now :/

thanks for ur work

Does anyone think the CR this time didn’t test too much vocabulary? There were a few words I didn’t know, but overall the sentence completions seemed okay…

yeah they didnt seem that bad i dont think i got any sentence completion wrong yet

but what was the verdict on the SUSTAIN vs TEMPER question
