Official December 10th ACT Score Reporting Thread

How long do I have to wait? It says registered

Of course, the only curve I care about is the science and it’s the only one without a score breakdown… (hopefully they’re revamping the curve lol).

Super surprised by the 3 29’s. Was hoping for more in the thirties. But oh well. For a first time and minimal prepping not too shabby. Should I even retake the writing?

My first ACT!

Composite: 32
English: 35
Math: 34
Reading: 29
Science 29
Writing: 8
Writing/English: 31

idosgs; I’m so happy! I can definitely improve on the reading and science, and I didn’t even practice anything for the writing, but overall, I’m very satistfied, this being the first time.

sduiogjlsdmg It’s like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders

If you’re applying top 20s, go for double digits (unless you got those on your SAT essay). If not, no worries.

@jasonleb
Northwestern’s on my list, so I will retake it. Thanks. (:
Let’s go 34! :D

Composite: 28
English: 35 (Up 8 points from last time :D)
Math: 26 (Down 1)
Reading: 29 (Down 3)
Science: 22 (Down 5; I knew I did pretty bad on this.)

I will be taking this again in February.
It’s not my best composite score, but I’m pretty happy about my English subscore! It could have been worse, since it was the Saturday before finals week, for me.

Composite: 32
English: 35
Math: 34
Reading: 31
Science: 28 (LOL I’ll take it considering I ran out of time and guessed on the last nine questions)

Composite: 31
English: 36
Math: 32
Reading: 31
Science: 25 (SCIENCE WAS A *****)!

I’m sort of content with this score, but I’m really disappointed in my science score. Had I gotten a 27 on science I would have had a 32 ACT! ■■■. Whatever. At least I broke the 30.

english:32

Composite: 35

I’m pretty happy about my scores.

Some advice for those taking/retaking ACT:
After getting my October SAT scores (which I did not like) I decided to do ACT. I just bought three books (Princeton Review, the Official ACT, and McGraws) and did all the tests (approximately 20) up until the December test. On my first practice ACT, I scored about a 31. As you can see, my score greatly improved.

So how do you take tests?
I highly suggest replicating the actual testing environment while doing practice tests. That means: no music, computer, etc. After taking the test, have someone else correct your mistakes. Then, go back to the problems you missed and try to do them again (without looking at the key). Have the person grade your answer sheet again. If any problems are still wrong, look at the answer key and explanation. Understand what you did wrong for every mistake. As you continue doing practice tests, you’ll gradually stop making the mistakes and thus, your score will improve. If you are lagging in one specific section (for me it was english), I highly suggest you go to a local bookstore and just sit down and do another 10-15 tests (but only that section).

Anyways, congrats to those who scored what they wanted to and good luck to any future ACT testtakers

@ feesix , I have pm’ed you :D
