Official December 10th ACT Score Reporting Thread

34 English
29 Math
35 Reading
28 Science
Composite: 32
Combined E/W: 31 (8 essay)

Meh, I’m little bummed on math as I was scoring much higher on it on the practice tests, but I think this score came out the best it possibly could considering I ran out of time on about 10 questions for science and 5 for math.

Less than 200 people per year earn a composite score of 36 on the ACT. Yet I am amazed because it seems 20 people or so posting right on this very forum got that score just for this ONE test date.

I truly don’t understand the lack of honesty in reporting scores on here. It makes no sense.

Fermat, I count 3 36 composite scores on this thread. Please don’t exaggerate. Also, wouldn’t you think it logical that most kids receiving 36’s are going to be part of this forum?

C 32 :smiley:
Eng 33
Math 34
Reading 32
Science 29
Eng/writing 30 (8)

I’m so glad for my 32. The key is to expect low so that you’ll be in for a pleasant surprise and not in for a horrible disappointment. My SAT score was 2040, (1390 M+CR) but this ACT Score is equivalent to a 2090 (1420 CR, and If I did better on the essay, 2160 :/). Yay for a 32!!

Does anyone know UC Berkeley, LA, and Stanford’s view toward the ACT? I did better on this one, and would like it if they viewed all of my scores (I sent all SAT Is, all SAT IIs, and the ACT)…

@BeyondInfinity. I got a 34 in English and my subscores were 17 and 18. How can that be? I’m so confused.

@afdamron, add em
together. It’s kinda like your scale raw score, I’m pretty sure.

@fermat hey bud if youd like id love to email you a pic of my score report.

@DollopOfCinnamon I am in the same boat as you xD

Do you think standby scores will be released today?

i got a 32 composite and cannot be happier!!

Btw. for northwesturn and rice is this a low score? :S And I’m majoring in biomed engineering…

South Dakota got theirs

Composite - 30

Composite:34

Just one higher in any section would have been a 35… >,<

But whatever.

Have only seniors received their scores? Maybe that’s why there’s a delay, unless this happens all the time. I, however, got my scores on time from my September 2011 test.

Hoping (also praying) for a 32!! I got a 30 the first time (as a junior) with 34 in english pretty much keeping me afloat. Everything else was average (M:27; R: 30; S:27). I thought science was awful this time though.

Sitting, waiting, wishing…

@orangefroot I think a 31 is fine for Northwestern. Their middle 50% is apparently somewhere between a 30 and a 33.

I was just looking at Northwestern’s scores.
College Board says 31 - 34 for the middle 50% of students

@afdamron
Same thing happened to me in September. Super annoyed because if I had gotten a 35, I might have been done! Apparently it’s the curve.

@AnotherGalaxy I understand that, but @BeyondInfinity got 16/18 on one subacute for English. Even if their other was 18/18, how could they have gotten a 35? I got a 17/18 and a 18/18 and got a 34.

Stupid 9 essay
DARNDARNDARNDARNDARN

@incorrigible haha, I share your frustration :slight_smile: but I was expecting it. Writing isnt my strongest strength. But come on, 26 in science. D:

@JME & swimmergirl okay, looking at their middle 50% I’m on the low side. Hrm my sat wasn’t good at all either…
