Official December SAT I Forum

if 1.6 is the lenght of each side that means you have to sqare that to get the area of each square...and multiply THAT number by 10 and you get a number which is ALOT greater than the actual area of the whole thing

k /is/ the lenght of each side.
The area of each square is k^2

Morgan17, the answer to a grin-in is NEVER a square root. Sorry...

i got 6 combos...you dont multiply because you cant repeat a color

I put dismay, but I was not sure about emphatic either. I'm pretty sure now that the second grid-in is the math experimental.

anyways i got 760 on the october math so i pretty much only took it for cr and could care less how i did on math

I think morgan's right ..I put 1.6 though -_-

crap...I thought it was 3 x3x3 = 27....

so, of the math experimental people, what do you think is the experimental section? 1st one or 2nd one?
also, what were some questions in them because i can't tell them apart

i put 1.6 too at first...i realized like last second

yeah but the answer is never a square root... noooo im trying to convince myself now

chincilla
you actually TAKE the root on your calc and put the numerical decimal down

wait, you cant repeat a color? daaang i should have read the question, was that in experimental?

First math grid in section: last question was something like there's a rectangular box and the surface area of one side is twice that of another and some side (forget which) was 2/3 of the surface area of another side. (Vague, sorry.) One side was given as 18. Had to find the volume, I believe.

Edit: second math grid in was the one with telephone services.

blue_mouse i said it WAS the square root
i never said i literally added a square root sign to my paper
thats what the calc is for
what do you mean its never sqaure root anyways?!?!? the sats are full of that...dont tell me you never took a root of like 4 or 9 or w.e.

juicy are you in the US?

but all problems can be done without a calculator

no it was not experimental..verbal was my experimental and i had that q

taffy: yeah. east coast.

@juicy: thanks
