Official December SAT Math Thread

for the column one how is it more then 3? it can never be equal...

yea for the column one i definately put never....

I'm almost positive it was never...

for the tee-shirt one..the easy answer would have been "10 + 150/x" but that wasnt an answer choice,

therefore the only answer that worked was:

((10x+150)/x)

100% positive thats correct.

I got (10x+ 150)/(x), too.

Gahh, I can't believe I only put 1/9 on the cube question... I thought I was so clever when doing that one, too. Haha.

yeah so i have a few

how about the last one on section 9 (lobster test) with the circle and the shaded parts?

what about the question with the like the half life/radioctiviety and when t = o and when t = 4?

i think it was the whole original function w/o 25 as the coefficient = 2

hope that made sense...

so what might be the cutoff for a 730? miss 4 grid-ins?

The answer for the circle with the shaded parts is 60 degrees. If the two unshaded were 60, then their sums would be 120. The two shaded, therefore, would be 120 each, so the average of the two shaded would then also be 120.

did you guys get the one with circles inside squares. it was #20

^ i got 60 degrees too

o good....i got 60 too...what about the radiation/radioactivety question? like with the equation having to equal some numbre when t = 0 and t = 4

How about the question with the two circles, with a line through the radius. What is the length of one of the segments. I put E, cannot be determined. Anyone else? It was a guess cuz i couldn't get the answer, lol.

What about the question where a circle was split by two lines each being a diameter, and two of the regions formed were shaded, and it said something like the two shaded regions were equal in area to the average area of the two nonshaeded regions. It asked for the angle of x, which was the angle of one shaded region. I got 60 degrees.

And also the free response that asks how many coconut doughnuts were sold. I got 6.75, but rounded up to seven since you cant sell 3/4 of a doughnut. Was that right?

How about the question with the two circles, with a line through the radius. What is the length of one of the segments. I put E, cannot be determined. Anyone else? It was a guess cuz i couldn't get the answer, lol.

the answer is e

OMG IS IT!!???

DOn't be kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the donuts, it said they sold 225 GLAZED donuts, not total donuts. The glazed donuts were 43% of sales. 225/.43=500 The coconut donuts were 3% of total sales, so .03*500=15 -> 15 donuts

IHDCPAGE06
I got E also!!! I was reluctant at first but i put down E. I pretty sure its correct It's just impossible to determine it.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEsssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

hahahfhoahewahwegoqwaehgiw;eg

Yay.

Yeah, something like that for the doughnuts one
