Official Decision Thread Class of 2012

Idk, since at least one person was rejected, I'm just thinking they sent out a certain group of states and the acceptances to those who applied for scholarships. Maybe we'll get ours early next week or something.

nothing in MA :(

i don't get my mail till 2pm... :( but there'll probably be nothing too.

sigh, nothing today either

I talked with a counselor on Friday who explained decision letters were already mailed to western applicants (Colorado to California), but that the mail date for all other RD applicants is March 28th.

The counselor also mentioned that letters went out to particular scholarship recipients (math and the arts) early.

Oh ok, thanks for sharing that with us. Wish it was sooner though!! Good luck all

One final thing that the counselor mentioned, was that they mailed to the west coast students early because Bucknell's accepted student open house is on April 12th, and that they wanted to make certain the west coast applicants got their letters in enough time to plan a visit. She assured me all letters will be mailed on the 28th. So hang in there!

Congratulations!!! I'm guessing you were regular decision. How did they notify you? Email, snail mail?

I agree, it's tough waiting this long. I applied in Oct. Live in MD.

I was a finalist for a creative writing scholarship to bucknell ( along with 4 other people). If I haven't received my letter does that mean I did not receive it?
how unfortunate

well, i got my acceptance early because i got the theatre scholarship. don't lose hope though!

I can't stand this waiting!

ArggGhghghGHGhghghg.

Ah! I haven't heard back yet.... Does that mean I should hear back soon?

Do they send emails or have it on their website, or just through the regular postal mail?

You will only hear by mail. No e-mail. The decision is not posted online either.

just called the admission office...they will e-mail decisions for international students on the 27th

im curious if they will also email students within the US on the 27th?, can anyone confirm that?

Somebody should call them; I nominate YOU!

highly doubt that, usually schools only e-mail internationals because of the long shipping time
